He was 230 against Jimmy Young....but that's the highest I see....other than the 236 against Berbick.

The lowest I see was 192 early in his career.

    Yes.

IMO, Vitaly has never committed more than 60 % to any shot, lest he be off ballance.

And the man strives to be on balance at all times

Just once, I would like to see how much power he really has.

In most of his earlier fights he committed far more to each punch but as he aged and sustained injuries to his shoulder, back and knee he no longer goes all out on his punches. I think he's very concerned about injuring himself and losing a fight that way thus ending his comeback prematurely. Maybe when he fights his last fight you will see him go for broke mid to late with the big sweeping shots he used to throw.

Except that some of them are in slow motion. GIFs generally work better when they are not in slow mo imo.

    "He punches hard, maaan".

"I knew he was ****ing me up..."

60%...... I almost don't want to see what would happen with more percentage. Another thing is that he usually sits down more and more as the fight progresses. I think Chris should be thankful for his friend getting his proud ass out of there.

There is no doubt that Vitali was ready to load up in the 11th and 12th to close out the show. I know Vitali is a proud man and wouldn't be satisfied with just winning a decision like Wlad but was fully intent on battering Arreola for the stoppage and keeping his KO record.

He paced himself well and started to clobber Arreola in the 9th and 10th when he got his second wind and Chris started getting sloppy from accumulation of punishment and fatigue. His trainer Ramirez was pretty perceptive and pulled his fighter before Vitali could pound out the stoppage in the next round or two.

Vitali would have stopped Arreola in the 11th round if it had not been stopped.

Roy Jones (2004): “…beautiful short left hook. That’s what I like about Vitali staying on the outside and landing these kind of punches…I like to see Vitali box like that, Jim, outside he throws a hook/uppercut – then comes back with hooks. You don’t see big guys do stuff like that too often…That’s why I’m so impressed with him

He put on such a show this weekend that i feel he might need to be rated Pound 4 Pound. I have never seen a big guy do that but still was arreola. Oh, he did the same thing to Peter!!! That fight was easier thin this recent sparring session.

Vitali seems to be the next Ali for most people here. He got roughed up by out of shape and past prime Lennox Lewis when he put together those moves. They may work for lesser fighters and he gets away with his flaws but not against the Holyfield, Lewis, Tyson..

Just look at the level of ompetition for christ sake. Arreola was not even a contender. Who the fk has he beaten?NOBODY. This guy was a prospect with power and a lot of heart. The division is so fk weak.Vitali's record is unimpressive. Only Peter and Sanders are worth mentioned and Peter was out of shape. The other two times he stepped it up, he lost.

    Careful!

The nuthuggers will have a fit if you don't declare him the greatest EVER because he beat up fellow legend and All-Time Great Chris Arreola.
