Byrd showed nothing to suggest that he was the superior fighter. His tactics were similar to hayes against wlad. Only to byrds credit, he was more willing to come forward every so often between rounds and engage and actually landed some good shots on vitali's chin.

Tactically it was a good strategy to employ, but overall it wasn't good enough to win him the match on the judges scorecards as he was more concerned with avoiding being hit rather than actually throwing enough punches to win on points.

Byrd was handed a gift by the boxing Gods vs. Vitali. Much like Montel Griffin was handed a gift vs. Roy Jones Jr. in the first fight.

You obviously didnt watch the fight to make a completely broken statement like this. Vitali landed only 8 more punches than Byrd the entire fight. That is less than 1 punch per round difference. Byrd couldve easily closed the gap in the next 3 rounds.

One 10-8 round gets Byrd at least a Draw.

It was an injury, he was winning 7 rounds to 2 or was it 9 to 2.

The Klitlickers are the only fanbase in boxing history that I've seen take a TKO win for one guy and turn it into a "win" for the other guy.

Andy Lee was ahead when the Chavez fight got stopped. Did he really win the fight?

Erm. Even if it was caused by a punch, it can still be a freak injury.
