I think alot of vitali fans are getting carried away with this victory. while impressive and historical in some ways, this certainly did not launch vitali into ATG top 10 heavyweight status. I believe Wladimir Klitschko is vastly superior to his brother in nearly every department, and has beaten better comp too...but I dont hear anyone claiming wlad is an ATG.

    Joe Louis
    Larry Holmes
    Joe Frazier
    Muhammad Ali
    Rocky Marciano
    Lennox Lewis
    Sonny Liston
    George Foreman
    Mike Tyson
    Evander Holyfield
    Jack Dempsey
    Jack Johnson

Sorry Vitali just does not belong next to these legends of the fight game

It really depends how you look at it...ATG how?

Does he make the top ten HW's ever? No. Few would argue that. Neither does Wlad, although I think Wlad has a case potentially for top 15. Vitali probably has a case for top 20 right now. They fare well in head to head matchups, but I dont think either has a resume to be top 10...Wlad comes closer, though.

That being said, they are both excellent fighters.

Vitali Klitschko might not have the resume for some people (although I would disagree with that), but when healthy, I would take him over any other heavyweight 1 on 1 in history...His skills/talent is that good IMO.

Langford, Marciano, Tyson, and Frazier were all shorter than Dempsey and they all make your list numbnuts. Liston wasn't any taller either. Know what you're talking about before posting.

9 stone? Dempsey weighed between 180-200 pounds, which would make him roughly 11-12 stone. Once again, know what you're talking about before posting and making an ass of yourself. And once again, why did you rate the other fighters I mentioned above Klitschko, considering they were all smaller than Dempsey?

    marciano > vitali

dont even compare the two. rocky did more in his time, and had 7 world title wins and that is UNDISPUTED not just one POS garbage wbc belt

vitali and wlad can make their marks but to call tham ATG in the top 15 already is ****ing absurd

Its hard to judge really. His resume isn't great but with his size, strength, power and chin he would give most fighters of any generation problems and decent hard fought fight even if he ended up losing.

I think the only thing you can say about him with any certainty is that his h2h ATG ranking is much higher than his resume ATG ranking.

    I think it's slightly more. About 12.9 - 14.3...
