    Agreed,

Only I'm not so sure that I would give Earnie much of a puncher's chance.. If his legendary power came in the form of a left hook, then I might give him a shot at beating Wlad, but an overhand right doesn't pose much of a threat to Waldo in my opinion.

It is not that we have a weak champion nowadays (Klitschko brothers)

It is just that the rest of the HW division is pretty weak.

Both Klits would easily be big strong talented and athletic enough to upset all time great smaller heavy weights e.g Dempsy Corbett

They would be champions in any era.
They're two of the three hardest H2H fighters at HW.

I agreee that if your looking for those who may beat the K bros that list of 3 is all wrong. Norton had a glass jaw. . .both Klits would probabably have taken him out. Lyle's best wins were Bonavena and Shavers. . .hmmmm. Shavers would prolly have a huge puncher's chance against the brothers especially Wlad but Shavers' resume isn't all that impressive and he was defeated many times, often by less than stellar opposition. His best win was precisely against glass-jawed Norton.

The Klitschkos are competitive in any era. The 70's were supposedly "The Golden Era" of boxing and yet guys like Quarry, Bonavena and Lyle were right in the mix. So no reason Waldo and Vitlay couldn't hang in there...

    They'd dominate that era.

    6'7 and 6'8
Both absolutely conditioned fighters these days who can go 12.
Both students and thinkers of the game, able to adapt and come up with tactics,
Both possess solid fundamentals and huge punching power
Both know how to use their size advantage

These, with Lennox Lewis, are the first of the "Super HWs" who can actually box and don't rely solely on size to do the job. They're extremely difficult for any fighter to beat who isn't over 6'4 in my view.
