When have you ever really seen someone, anyone, land a sequence of punches on Wlad and him not be affected by it?

You can't compare what Lewis did to what Wlad would do.

Lewis was prepared to walk through Vitali's shots to land his own, and was landing with straights, hooks and uppercuts. Wlad throws jabs and right hands, and is reluctant to even throw his right hand against smaller opposition unless he's absolutely certain it's going to land.

Against Vitali you would see the most reluctant Wlad you've ever seen in a boxing ring because he'd be up against the best fighter he has ever faced by some margin, an agressive opponent who can match him for height and reach and would be in range to counter when Wlad misses.

He was reluctant and cautious against Haye, and that is a guy who could not get near him! When Wlad backs up as he does when his opponent comes forward, Vitali can match him stride for stride and meaning it would be difficult for Wlad to employ his usual defence.

Wlad probably is quicker, but his two main defensive strategies - moving backwards in straight lines and clinching and leaning would be nowhere near as effective against his brother due to his size and athleticism.

Watch the hand speed of Lewis vs Golota and Lewis vs Briggs.

Briggs caught Lewis with a big punch in the first round.. than Lewis went to war and dominated Briggs.. Everything Briggs threw looked fast.. everything Lewis threw look like lightning.
Watch the speed of Lennox from 95-00.
Than watch Lewis against Tyson.. or Lewis against Rahman, Lewis against Vitali.
Lennox suffered a severe decline in terms of athleticism starting from around 99 on wards.
people forget just how fast and deadly Lennox was in terms of his speed and positioning.

Lennox also finished off some very dangerous opponents early.

I like Wlad. I rate him very very high. I really do

If you dated a really hot girl.. broke up and is now dating another hot BUT NOT QUITE AS Good looking girl.. What do you say to your current girl?

'You are the prettiest gf I ever had'

    or

'Ya.. you are a cutie..BUT BUT.. I can't lie.... my EX was still prettier.

Steward was a great trainer (RIP) But he always knew the right words to say.

Not to mention he really liked Wladimir and Lennox. He view them as his 2nd and third sons probably.

But Hearns was the only true son.. Only when it comes to Tommy will he say the FULL truth.

    :good

With Emanuel Steward Wladimir becomes a much better fighter, more fast more fluid.

    Wlad is all above Vitali.

    Wlad by TKO lewislike.

Wladimir have a chance to pass Lewis.

It is just my opinion that Lewis is slightly better h2h.. they are both top 10 ATG HW'S.. Right now. A serious case could be made for Lewis being top 5.

H2H.. BOTH are actually ranked above VItali. Lennox and Wlad will win in different ways.

Wlad will either cautiously dominate Vitali on route to a UD.. or Vitali's skin will fail again and tko6... (tko7)

Lewis in his prime will take advantage of Vitali's awkward stance and lean back ****** defense (which works against fat slugs like Arreloa) and utterly dominate VK,

It's funny as hell people think Vitali got a good defense.. no it's just good against fat slugs who can't move..

    Prime Wlad
    Prime Lewis
    Prime Holyfield
    Prime Bowe
would all had pentrated that defense with ease.

Prime Ali would have clowned him.

You are nuts. Lewis had good power. Not great. Wlad has elite power.

**** fair enough if you think Wlad has more power that's entirely reasonable

But Lewis doesnt have 'elite power'? What kind of slithery, ambiguous horse**** is that?

Outside of this being a no brainer and Vitali taking this.
LOL at the person saying Vitali not having the power to hurt Wlad.

Prime Vitali had very good power, maybe not 1 punch KTFO power but still very good power.

Add to that Wlad when tentative does not throw full force, take Vitali's iron chin in the mix and you have a recipe for disaster for Wlad.

Vitali is a stylistic nightmare for Wlad.
