"September 8 will answer a question: if Vitali Klitschko is done or can he compete at the same level and continue his career."

"He (David Haye) was offered a fight in September but has chosen David Chisora instead. That was his choice."

"He (Povetkin) hasn't expressed any interest in such a fight in recent memory.

"When I decide to finish my career, I will have a huge presser so that everyone knows about it. Right now I am an active boxer."

Also gave some props to Charr as being a young durable guy with some good wins, but I think the first quote really answers the why on Charr. Seems like an easy test for the arm.

Seems like Vitali's retirement is by no means certain. If he can get Charr out of there and but loses the election, he will fight on.

No Vitali needs to retire. He's just to old and there is nothing left to prove. He will lose the election. Vitali had one hell of a good career. He is the better of the two brothers he always has been. He has never been knocked down in a fight and has never been behind in a fight. I just never understand why some say Wlad is better after all those times he has been put on his ass. Vitali has a way better chin. Imagine if LL would have landed that uppercut on WLad. I'm not sure if Vitali would have won that fight if it was not for the cuts but I wish there would have been a rematch. I enjoyed the Klitschko Lewis fight while it lasted. I knew after the 3rd round when I seen Vitalis eye the fight would be stopped. I felt bad for Klitschko because he wanted to win that fight bad.

Why doesnt he just admit that he didnt choose Charrr, and that Boente did because he's an opponent who won't demand much money and isn't a guaranteed win.

Vitali proved everything he had to prove, if he fights Haye, he will

if he doesn't, his choice, nobody but Haye fans will accuse him of ducking, he already accomplished what he he to accomplish in boxing, everything else is a bonus

Big disrespect for Vitali there...but clearly Chisora is a brave man! I'm a little shocked Vitali had the self control to not start fighting him right there n then as he's come across in the past as more of a loose canon than Wlad.

Can you imagine what would've happend if Chisora tried that to David Haye? ...oh wait.

Older fighters love to hype up when they will retire to increase their chances of making more money.

Vitali once said when he thinks he no longer has " it " he will retire. This will come from his trusted manager Bonte, his coach Sdunek ( spelling? ), and Wlad. They will tell him.

At age 41, Vitali is still very good. He does not get hit often in the ring.

I want the fight with Haye this year is possible. Charr is s keep busy type of fight. And if Lenny wants to come out and play....well he won't. Just saying.

Lennox and Vitali fought, it ended in controversy, the public was screaming for a rematch but it didn't happen

Haye-Wlad was a shutout, even Haye admitted it himself, now his fans are screaming for the Vitali fight just because he beat Chisora, a fighter 1-4 in his last 5 fights

what has Haye proved? he has potential that he is wasting by acting like a diva, because he expects the big money fights with either K bro without earning his shot like the rest, if he wasn't so stuck up, he would have much more respect from the wider boxing community outside the UK and the money fights would be looking for him, not the other way around

Lennox, after beating Tyson, really didn't have anything else to prove, accomplishing practically everything he needed to seal his legacy, people wanted the rematch, Lennox didn't give it to him, fine, he knew it himself that he was past it, it was his choice, but the fact that Vitali's hardcore fans are upset to this day about a rematch doesn't affect me in any way
