Gomez was a lanky awkward Southpaw. You can't judge anything by that fight in comparison to a flat footed plodder like Arreola.

Should be interesting to see how in/out of shape Arreola comes in come fight night. I don't think the dude stands a chance against either Klitschko, personally. He's just not ready for them yet. He's going to fall and take a step back in his career simply due to the media overrating him. He needs to be fighting guys like Haye and Chambers right now...

Samson Poluka or whatever was fat as hell and gave Andrew Golota hell beck in mid 90's. This is Arreola's big chance.

Gomez is one of the most talented and hardest to fight guys in the entire HW division. Yes, he is lazy and wasted his career, but still one of the toughest guys.

I hope Gomez gives it one more go and takes on guys like Chambers, Johnson or Haye. I think Juan Carlos still has some gas left in the tank.

Can't understand why Arreola's people agreed to such a short date, by the picture on the other thread it's obvious he would need another month to get to a decent shape, Vitali had no other decent option, the fight should have been set for late October. Propably Vitali threw some enticing money to convince everyone.

If Arreola comes in under 245lbs we should have a pretty good fight, but I still think Vitali wins. Other than that, which is the most probable outcome, Vitali will KO Arreola inside 6 rds, or we will have Chris corner throwing in the tower very early, or even retiring on his corner in the first half of the fight.

Funny thing, the Klit brothers are always very serious about their careers and undoubtedly show up in top shape for their fights. They are definetelly fighters you don't wanna show up in less than 100% of your best shape bc even then it's freaking hard to beat them, but several of their oponents insist on not taking them seriouslly and going on crappy mode. Is that the payday involved that make the fighters get relaxed? no ambition to become the man at HW?

I can tell you why because Arreola is rumored to be getting a 3.5 mil payday. His highest purse so far is around 800,000 if I am not mistaken. Might as well take the money while you can even if you are going to get an ass kicking.

  10. Vitali will most likely jab Arreola into oblivion, before knocking him out. Arreola could get lucky and land a bomb to KO Vitali, but that's pretty unlikely.

Look at the picture of Arreola. He's a slob, and he's content with his contender status. That's why he is having such fun, eating and drinking. The Klitschko brothers ate hungry to be ATG. That's why they stay in such shape. These guys are true professionals, and Chris is not on their level. Vitali TKO 6.

    Why not?

Is it really a huge disgrace if he loses to Vitali?

We need to get over this concept of protecting an 0

I agree. Gomez was a very tricky fighter..especially when compared to Arreola.

Of note, Arreola has only went past 6 rounds THREE TIMES, that's it. Stamina could be an issue, especially considering that most recent pic.

I think each round completed just gives more of an edge to Vitali. He should have better stamina, and he's also got a 3 1/2 inch height advantage, and a 3 inch reach advantage. Vitali should be able to wear down Arreola through the first few rounds, and then he can just sit back and potshot Arreola until he gets KO'd or quits.

I read the interview with trainer henry ramirez, and I liked his outlook
and he seems like a professional and reasonable guy, as does chris.
With that being said, there's really no way chris can win, bar a ring injury
from vitaly. As much as I hate to say it, arreola's not any better than scam cheater. Except for the fact he doesn't rabbit punch. Chris is too
slow and sloppy for vitaly. Also, he isn't even the biggest puncher vitaly
has faced. Add to that, chris got dropped by travis walker. The same
travis walker who got KO'd in 1 by some fat journeyman. This fight is a big
fight because of the players, and not because of skill level. As one other poster said. This will be another kirk johnson, or danny williams beating, and that's just how I see it. It matters not if arreola stays outside or gets inside. He gets creamed either way.
Vitaly tko in 7 or less.
There's a reason why the klits made this fight so easily. It's an easy fight.
