I gotta say, Chisora didn't do too bad, but more importantly he had Vitali gladly hanging on a couple of times and he did not get a beating.

I mean if you had let that fight go another five, ten rounds I honestly could not say who I think would win even though Vitali was generally landing the good stuff - he was gassing.

Vitali won, but he did not look comfortable, and he could not crack that nut.

    Thoughts?

Chisora is a machine. Walked through Vitali's right hands like they were nothing and didn't stop until the final bell. Monster.

meh never can tell. I mean you do have a point & your assessment is pretty much correct but you never know. We can play the "if it were a 15 rd fight" game all night doesn't change. There's a long list of fights I feel would've been different if it were more the 10/12. Hopkins/taylor I (Bhop would've ko'd taylor if that were 15rds) , Mesi/Jirov, Khan/Maidana to name a few. To me bottomline , chisora should've let his hands go & he needs to develop a Left hook in his arsenal. Especially in retrospect as we now know vitali re-injured his shoulder. I mean Derek made a good account of himself and I'm not knocking him but I agree with his corner. he needed to press the gas a bit harder. But hey vitali is 40. he did what he had to do. Fact is you can't look impressive against everyone.

Chisora's punches seem to be telegraphed. I know he hasn't got explosive power but he needs to bring them from a little closer. I'm surprised vitali didn't see every single punch. Unless he did and he's just a hard ****.

If he had regularly jabbed his way in he would have had infinitely more success.

He needs to learn he can't be throwing wide if he is fighting inside. You could see some of those hooks coming from last week.

My thoughts are yes, Chisora didn't do bad....but Vitali would have done much better with the full use of both arms.

Vitali said that he saw most of Chisora's punches coming..this was in the EPIX interview right after the fight.

Vitali took him to school with one arm

Chisora chased and followed but didnt throw

Chisora needed to chase Vitali who was backing up to a corner or the ropes and jab his way in to set up a big shot

    Chisora neglected his jab

Chisora tried a few lunging bombs something he should have done more of

for all the **** he did post fight he had a backing up Vitali only using his right who seemed to be tiring as the fight went on and he didnt even go wild in the ring

vital basically dominated him with one arm...

he would of won more comfortably if he had his jab the whole fight

Let's be realistic, he gave him a good fight and it was fairly entertaining but Vitali was a clear enough winner.

Would Chisora win over 15? Possibly but it's a 12 rounder

Would a rematch be any different? Probably not.

Do I want to see it? No.

Not bad at all for his 19th fight.. Chisora can improve and become a world champ imo..
