You know, I would expect a KLIT fan to say something of that sort. He should be jumping at a chance to fight a shot fighter (for the sake of argument)...

Peter, however is probably not salivating because a title defense against a shot fighter is on the horizon. That's not conduct fitting of a true champion.

    Your source...???

...you also claim Peter doesn't want to fight them, when he said he does.

I think Peter knows what he wants better than you do.

The last we heard from your idol Don King, he said he wants Peter to fight them.

You better start citing sources for some of your BS...

First read the WBC rules. Then do you wonder why Don King does not want this fight? I do not believe anything Don King says, ask Tyson, Lewis, Ali, Witherspoon, etc. Don King says one thing then does another, it is his past. Of course, you clain Don King has never told a lie! LOL! I have a bridge I will sell you. Do You have the money?

As if your posting wasn't week enough, you resort to a Widdow tactic...I made no such claim.

    Anyways...your source.

Stop lying, I never claimed Don King has never told a lie...you however make sh*t up everytime you post.

Must suck to be such a boxing fan, with no ability to grasp facts. Do you make things up and ascribe them to people in your regular life to, or only as Farmboxer...???

You're missing a chunk of the point.

Peter will be getting a shot at one of the biggest names he could have on his resume, defending a title he only picked up because Vitali stepped aside to allow the Peter -Maskaev fight to take place.

He should be salivating if he thinks Vitali is over the hill, because, as I said, for Peter, that represents low risk/high gain.

(Fighters get kudos for defeating 'names' even if they are past it).

If, on the other hand, vitali is NOT shot and defeats Peter, Sam never had any right to the belt in the first place.

And BTW, what was your point in starting the thread, and the point of your opening post?

    Agenda, perhaps?

Then again, looking at your signature, that's pretty obvious.

All you have to do is consider that Vitlay has wasted the time of 4 boxers in total costing each of them valuble money and time. Rahman, McCline, Maskaev and Peter. 4 of 4, since 2004. If I were Sam I'd be a little bit worried about those odds.

He got injured in the traing camp for Rahman, and eventually retired, ceding the title to Rahman.

Not the first time a fighter has been injured and delayed a fight.

As for the other three you mention, could you explain how Vitali wasted their time and $$$ ?

And who would Sam Peter fight instead who would bring more $$$ to the table ?

Toney (3)? McCline rematch? Wlad again?

The WBC are legally obligated to give Vitali the first crack at the title, much as that doesn't sit well with Sam's management and Don King.

Like I said, If he's shot, easy and high profile victory for Sam. If he's not, Sam's in for an early night.

No, I understood the post perfectly, or all of the "chunks" if you will, I engaged in dialogue with the part that I took the most issue with.

I already made this point, but if you're determined to form a circle...that is not conduct fitting of a true champion. You can give "kudos" for whatever you wish, I'm a little more discriminating than that. I read the asterisk.

:| No need to get butt hurt over it, but if you got issues...I got tissues.
Agenda...??? We are posters on a boxing forum, most of us don't think we are running for an election (what up Widdow ;) )...Don't take yourself, or it too serious.

Basically, I'm here for three reasons...To talk boxing, have fun, and to learn. Like most of us.

Since you asked, this thread was in response to Heavyright Hand's Peter appreciation thread...hence his  and :fire at the begining of the thread. If it's not fun for you move on.

He pulled out of the Rahman fight 4 consecutive times in a row spanning a year. That is not normal. So please don't make it out to be as if it is. Sure guys pull out of fights all the time. But when its their mandatory they usually make the fight on second appearance even if they aren't 100%. Some go in on the first appearance not 100%. All the time.

He wasted Rahman's time. Then he wasted McCline's time by pulling out a 5th time, consecutively might I add.

He also held up the mandatory fight between Maskaev and Sam Peter which is as shady as it gets. He made both of them wait it out for months before finally giving up on negotiations.

Vitali retired so that time would not be wasted for WBC title fights.

Looks like Vitali/Peter has been ordered by Jose Sulaiman/WBC, nothing totally official yet though. We will stay tuned. Negotiations to start Monday? Let's hope so.

I didn't say I give kudos. i said fighters get Kudos...

And while YOU might read the asterix, most observers don't really know or care, including, I suspect, Sam.

My point is that Vitali would be a big feather in Sam's cap, by far the biggest name he would have on his resume.

When you start a thread like that, You're the one with the issues, dude!
    Keep your tissues handy.

My point here is that some posters are a little more balanced than others. There's fan boys (as Lance U terms them), and there's haters. Interestingly enough, it's usually the same fighters who attract the lion's share of both (Delahoya, Mayweather, Pac, The Klits, etc).
Posters with a pro or anti fighter signature are more agenda-driven and less likely to worry about objectivity.

Can't argue with them reasons. Just making sure that there's 'full disclosure'.

I didn't see his thread. i only react to what's in front of me. Maybe he has an agenda in the other direction?

    Keep on postin' !

Other than the Rahman issue, which I agreed with, you haven't answered any of the other three questions. You've implied that fighters should sometimes go int their mandatories injured. Hardly great advice.

Klitschko had documented fight-preventing injuries, and he retired, giving Rahman the title when he realized he needed surgery.

The remarks regarding the other three fighters have little basis in reality.

Vitali could have knock Rahman out while at only 25%!
