Vitali doesn't just beat you, he beats you up

    I also expected more from Gomez. I recommend watching Gomez vs Virchis or McCall. He looked much better there, was more active, threw 3-4 punch combinations and made extensive use of the right hand. I think, like most of Vitali's opponents, he had trouble with the reach difference and therefore choose to come in with a big punch (straight left) when he took the risk of getting hit. Perhaps Klitschko made him look worse, but against Virchis and McCall, Gomez looked very impressive and barely dropped a round.

    That's true and also true is that Gomez would be the toughest fighter Haye has ever fought. In a fight between these two I would favor Gomez. Yesterday he was down the 1st time in his career as a pro. Gomez is definitely one of the best fighters in the heavyweight division.

    Yes he does. Vitali administers a beatdown and then he goes in for the kill.

    I thought he turned in a VERY impressive performance against Gomez, who was perceived as a real threat by many BEFORE the fight. Vitali won every round and completely dismantled the guy.
