vitali doesnt think it was a legit stoppage vs lewis?

Boring is prhaps somewhat of an overstatement. He doesn't sit down as much on his punches as before and has changed his style to cope. Thinking of his fights against Sanders and Lewis he took some to give some - both were wars. He hasn't really fought anyone since who has really pushed him in the same manner. It's probably due to the one sided nature of his fights why he can be labelled as boring, which is unfair. Saying that, I've bought the last few of his fights and have felt ripped off by the end.

it should have been stopped much earlier. Its one of the worst cut i've ever seen. Lewis was damn lucky he caused it - fighting with blood all over the face isnt an easy task but Vitaly is a real mofo.

His face was caved in. Vitali was winning the fight, but nothing is over until its over! Lewis made the cut happen, not an accidental butt or fouling, therefore, Lewis won!

The Byrd stoppage was bull**** too, Byrd was robbed of a KO win just like Lewis was.

 

I am a huge Vitaly fan. I am also a Lewis fan.

IMO it was a legit stoppage & if it went on Lewis would have lost that fight.

 

legit stoppage, no doubt.
fights have been stopped for less damage.
Lewis was at the end of his career, and Vitali's effort convinced Lennox to retire , and stay retired.
Vitali redeemed himself for quitting against Byrd, and Lewis showed how to overcome adversity like a true champion.
Both guys were elevated from this fight, which was fought and ended fairly.

 

well to be fair, Vitali Can and Would Still have Continued

but yeah it was a legit stoppage just a shame it ended out like that and a rematch didnt happen

His carreer would have been ended if it wasn`t stopped. His face was already mangled and as Lewis said he could have had his eye ball pop out if it had continued.
