Arreola - Change to Adamek as soon as Vitali beats him.

In his career, Vitali has never lost more than two consensus rounds, never been floored by a punch, owns one of the highest KO percentages in the history of championship boxing. After he beats Adamek, he will join the exclusive club of fighters over 40 who have/won a world title belt.

I'm a Vitali fan as well, I'm just saying that giving an all-time great heavyweight champion all he could handle was the biggest accomplishment of his career even though it was a loss. No shame in that. Thomas Hearns is another great fighter who gets much recognition for his two competitive losses against Leonard and Hagler.

In reality he wasn't actually way ahead. He swept the first 4 after that byrd consistently walked vitali down and outlanded him at a better percentage whilst making vitali miss shot after shot.

Rounds 5 and 9 are clear byrd rounds. 6,7 and 8 could also be scored for him. From the shape of the fight he'd have clearly won the last 3. So at the very biased worst he's gonna lose 7-5. In a more realistic sense he edges a close fight.

He may well have injured it early on and if it occured before round 5 then it explain why he was so poor from then on (similar to joe v reid. Joe broke his hand in round 4 and looked shite afterwards)

As numerically gifted as I am, I have no professional background in sports science hence can not calculate anything myself. From my own observation there was a big change between round 4 and 5 so that would be my best bet.

The win over Juan Carlos Gomez seems to be criminally underrated here. If we are to use the technique of Vitali hater extraordinaire Jack then Juan Carlos Gomez is a clear ATG, at CW and probably one of the top 5 crusiers. Not to mention he had a stellar run at heavyweight before facing Vitali as a mandatory challenger, as well as having 10 title defences at CW before hand. I thnik if we're honest here a strong case can be made that this win is better than Wlad's over Haye.

Lennox Lewis was his best win. took the fight on only ten days notice against an ATG and was kicking ass before the cut.
    #2 Solis.
    #3 Briggs.
    #4 K Johnson.
    #5 Hide.

What the fack are you talking about man? Vitali was beating Byrd with ease. He could have whooped Vitali's ass for the next 3 rounds and still lost by 2-4 points.

Fatty Oldman SHOT Lewis was 38 yrs old, and at a career-high weight. :hi:

You forgot about Vitali's loss to pillowfisted bloated-supermiddle Byrd anyway, Vitali was getting his ass kicked and being forced onto the backfoot in the last 4 rounds, so he quit on his stool like a ***** with a "bad left hand".:rofl:rofl:rofl
