If you're going to play that game, you remember that time RJJ got his ass brutally beat by Montel Griffin? :deal

Vitali Klitschko was dominating Byrd on all cards.

it says more about this heavyweight era than about him, but christ his resume is thin at the top end. seeing the names up here really drives it home.

as other posters have said the fact that he couldnt put away an old, overweight lennox will define him to some extent.

even if he had beaten him, it still would have to put into context of where lennox was in his career. but anyway he lost fair and square. a win against haye wouldnt hurt him.

the other answer is he fights his brother. thats the solution here.

    Loss to Lewis
    Sanders
    Peter after 4 year layoff
    Briggs
    Prime undefeated Arreola

Adamek will rank 3rd on this list after Sept.

Let's face it people....Vitali lost his 4 best years in this game. He could have added the likes of Rahman, Maskaev, Toney, Valuev, Ruiz, and 42 y/o Holyfield to this list had he not suffered that slipped disc in his back, and then been horribly misdiagnosed with a hamstring injury. Classic sciatica and the guy is getting hammy PT. WTF?:huh

Not saying Vitali is the GOAT, but he did force the 37 y/o Lewis into retirement, and he would have clearly and decisively beaten all on the above wish list during his 4 year hiatus.

You're the fool that believes pac beats a prime winky at 154.

    1) how did you score rounds 5-9.

    2) note how I said byrd could have lost 7-5 over twelve rounds

Vitali's career can be summed up by two words "what if"

you can't judge a guy on who he would've beating, only on who he did.

I think this is why the Vitaly Haye fight could well happen, big payday for both, and it will be one of the best wins on Vitali's resume

Bringing up a completely different post that you have a different opinion of me on? Well that just means you are right and I am wrong, of course.:nono

Anyway, there is a reason you said the bolded statement. It is a complete stretch to say Byrd was in that fight, let alone winning it.

Love to see it, but haye knows he doesn't have a realistic chance, and would rather wait on Wlad by climbing back up the WBA rankings IMO.

It is pretty tight though. Gomez vs Haye prime 4 prime would be a good fight @ either weight.

How do you score rounds 5-9 of byrd-vitali?

I said the bolded statement because 5-9 are clearly byrd rounds and a further 3 rounds would give him 5.

Give me your scorecard for 5-9 please.
