Drexl is one of the finer posters here, particularly when it comes to articulating his point.

I swear he's talking to himself on these forums. He brings up the same 3-4 statements, no matter the thread topic, and never seems to be directly commenting toward any other posters.

I didn't mean how judges treated him over his entire career - was comparing pre-war public/judges opinion of him to the situations Vitali has faced. I assume you're thinking of the third fight well after Rumble in the Jungle when public opinion had its 180 on him and champions losing by decision were ever so common. Go back a couple years and rewatch their first two fights for some perspective.

Right back at 'ya buddy. :good

Good to see another member of the "2005 club" still around. In fact I seem to remember a forum crash which reset our post count and join date. :think

I wish I could remember when I actually started posting here and how many posts I actually have, just for interest's sake. It was just after the secondsout forum disappeared, whenever that was. :think

If I allowed, say, 2 minutes for every post the amount of time I've had on here would probably be quite sad actually. :yep

I have nothing on Farmboxer though. He has probably tripled everybody else's post count. Always saying the same thing too.

Well, you know what they say...numbers don't lie. 97.2% is pretty amazing, and that is against HEAVYWEIGHTS. Not, cruiserweights, but HWS. Not only are Hws harder to KO, but they are throwing big Ko pucnhes back at you. Numbers don't lie, folks.

    :think

So we are talking blown up cruiserweights, yeah? :huh

So, your saying that an Evander Holyfield is easier to knock out than say a Clifford Ettienne?

Is a James Toney easier to knock out than a Michael Grant?

It's all about the quality of opposition. :deal

True, but how many other crusierweights are like the greats you just mentioned? I mentioned crusierweight just for the Haye fans to read. They are putting a lot of faith in a cruiserweight. And I think it is bordering on ridiculous, the way they talk. I saw HAye versus Fragemini, and that little guy was backing Haye up! Amazing when I saw that. I think Haye is getting pumped up too much, from the fights I have seen of him. YOur Lamon would destroy Haye, blow him out of the ring. Vitali's numbers in the HW division are amazing. Tyson couldn't Ko Tillis, and Vitali has Ko's opponents greater than Tillis.

I'll be honest with you, I never liked Haye. I thought he was all hype after he lost to Thompson. He has rebounded well and shown that he isn't simply an arrogant ****, but a good fighter who has ability. He is improving all the time and has improved since he beat Fragomenni. I thought he was careless in that fight at times but he also fought smart and ended up dumping him on his ass. :deal

Haye has proven me wrong on so many occassions and regardless of the hype he does have serious talent. He's not as bad as some Klitschko fans make out nor as good as some Haye fans believe him to be.

At this point I am a fan of both fighters to an extent, but I struggle to like Klitschko's over conservative, pensive "oh I'll chip away at him until he is COMPLETLEY ****ed without taking any risk" nature. It just doesn't win fans - not me anyway. There is more to like about Haye, who can get hit and hurt but also seperate you from your senses.

He has the style to trouble Wlad, and I think he will. Do I think Haye will win? No, it's not likely, but he won't be the pushover some the hardcore Klitschko element think he will be. :hi:

    Like who?

Tyson also absolutely destroyed previously unbeaten Michael Spinks in 90 seconds, that fight alone puts him above VITLAY. Incidentally yes we all know Spinks was a blown up light heavy - so was Chris Byrd, only Spinks was way better than Byrd :deal

When you really get down to the truth, it really doesn't matter what I feel about Haye. It's about what Klitschko and Steward think of him. Will they be like me and think Haye isn't much, and just destroy him with an easy left hook, or will they take him as a serious threat. I think they are taking him as a serious Threat.

But, I wonder if Haye will be taking Wlad as a serious threat, I wonder about that the way Haye talks.

Spinks was not way better than Byrd. Watch the Byrd and Tua fight, Chris was amazing in that fight. Spinks could never do that...and that's the truth. I never thought much about Byrd, until I saw that fight again. I am so used to seeing Byrd the past few years, and forgot how good he really was, and why Lennox Lewis didn't want to fight him..
I think Sam Peter, Corrie Sanders, and Kirk Johnson are better than Tillis. Vitali wouldn't KO spinks in 90 seconds, but he would Ko SPinks, with no doubt.

This is the Farmboxer I used to know when I first joined ESB - as opposed to the watered down version of the last couple of years.
