"...our king of the heavyweights has silenced many mouths and media that had unfairly attacked him without any evidence..."

The moment of truth has come!

Ali IMO would be way to fast on his feet...I dont think Vitali's slow jab that he likes to paw with would do much...Ali by wide UD over Vitali!

Yeah true but still a truly negative way of describing Vitaly. But clearly, he's not the greater puncher ever at heavyweight, its obvious.

I can understand that but on a thread claiming vitali as the greatest heavyweight puncher so negativity is needed. I mean for **** sake vitali aint even a great puncher, his technique aint amazing and he doesn't generate great power for a man of his size.

He look like Frankeinstein, move like a quadraplegic but c'mon we have seen worst, like Valuev or John Ruiz.

I don't think that Vitali is harder puncher than George Foreman ... or Mike Tyson ... there are a ton of primed fighters with more power than Vitali ... but its not to say that Vitali doesn't have power ... but he's not a one punch knockout power kinda guy ... he's a heavy handed fighter who breaks you down through accumulation of punishment.

After Cooper separated Clay from his senses with a left hook. Ali was out of it. Dundee jumped into the ring, and escorted Ali to his corner. Then Dundee used smelling salts, which were illegal in British boxing, and when Ali head jerked up and came to, his eyes were like pin balls. This is on film. Watch it some time. There was also confirmed several minute break when Dundee sent a person back to the dressing room to find another glove because Ali was torn. No glove could be found, so they used what they had.

    >>Oh, the 2nd Ali vs Liston fight was toxic. It had to be moved to a high school gym in Maine because no one wanted to host the event.. The odd thing is the fight ended how? With both guys on their feet. It is obvious that Liston rolled over and was waiting to take the count, but ref Joe Walcott blew it so Sonny got up, then the fight ended with the two on their feet. Do you really think Liston, a man with a good chin could be taken out by one punch? Use your reason! Ali never produced a KO like that.

Oh, and Ali lost 5 times on record, but that is not the full story.

    >>Oh, so Ali was past his prime for every single one of his losses? Get out of here! Ali was 29 vs Joe Frazier, and 31 for Norton. This is not past his prime.

    >>Wrong again. Gomez is a slick fighter with head movement and defense. He is a lot like Young in that respect.

If you are comparing the size of the two, Gomez is bigger than Young.

Ali, who was 34 ( vitali was 37 vs Gomez ) looked awful. In fact, the light punching Young stunned Ali. Did you know that? Try watching round 9 of the fight if you dare!

Many feel Young won the fight, but like in the 3rd Norton fight, and perhaps the Shavers fight, the judges gave it to Ali.

    >>Byrd was offered a re-match. Lewis said he would take a re-match, and was offered 18,000,000.00! He declined because he knew he would not be so lucky in the re-match. It is not Vitlai's fault he did not get re-matches.

What if Frazier or Norton never re-matched Ali? See my point?

Click here: YouTube - Lennox Lewis v Vitali Klitschko (3/4)[/quote]

I swear I'll never tire of watching the end of that fight, the bully getting his face caved in, quality, quality viewing :good

Interestingly the commentator summed it up - Lewis had no respect for VITLAYS power. This is the 'best puncher ever' he's talking about remember....draw your own conclusions from that.
