Marciano can absorb punishment, controle the ring and get in your chest, where Vitali's long arms would actually be a detriment. And he hit harder than probably anyoen Vitali has ever faced.

Look I'm sorry on not on the Vitali **** sucking list, just trying to keep it real.

If Vitali can lost to Byrd and an out of shape aged Lewis, he could lose to anyone on my list prime for prime.

Well, Lewis has some inpressive wins to offset his losses.

    Vitali does not.

I don't think he can take Tyson or Marciano head to head, and Liston would defiantly be hard for Vitali, but Holyfield would definitely get owned by vitali. Foreman would probably stop him, not sure.
Ali, Lewis, and Holmes would outpoint him in my opinion..

The two that could have gone either way for me were Tyson up to "Maybe" and Holyfield down to "Yes."

I feel Holyfield is probably just too small, Bowe was happy to fight Holyfield's fight, he went to war and Holy went life and death with him. Vitali fights smarter than that, he will maximize his physical advantages and keep a disciplined plan that will frustrate the undersized Holy.

Marciano was WAY too small for Vitali. No disrespect to Rocky.

Foreman is too crude and the early version didn't have the ring intelligence to succeed vs Vitali. His punches are too wide and lumbering. He won't land clean on Vitali, won't be the bigger man like he was used to, (not by a LONG way) and will likely be intimidated as well. Vitali would likely pick him apart.

I don't try to claim he has avenged a loss, that would be stupid.

What I am saying is, he had no real pressing need to rematch Byrd. Their fight showed who the better fighter was. Byrd lucked out. It was Vitali's shoulder that beat him, Byrd can point to nothing tangible that he did to win the fight, nor to anything that suggests he'd win a rematch, barring another injury.

Not the same as Rahman for Lewis or Sanders for Wlad.

Keith, in all seriousness. Have you ever seen a Marciano fight? Did you study his record?

Marciano was 5"10. He weighted in at 185, which is 15lbs below what today's cruiserweights fight at. He'd give away over 50lbs in weight against Vitali and about half an arm's length in reach.

He would never even get close to Vitali's chin and get pummeled to a bloody pulp. It would be a complete mismatch.

Thrashed badly? Get out of town!

Explain to me why prime Ali and Holmes lost rounds to guys not even as good as Gomez and Johnson, while Vitali pitches shutouts.

Even with a bad cut. Vitlai was up 4-2 on all three score cards vs. Lennox Lewis, a fighter who never lost a decsion.

Since returning at age 36 from a 4 year layoff, Vitali has faced 4 opponents with a combined record of 123-2-1 (91).

His record against them is 4-0 (3)

He has fought 39 rounds against these four men. Twelve judges have handed in a combined 116 rounds that they have scored, and Vitali has won 105 of those 116.

At age 31, Muhammed Ali was beating Joe Bugner 57-54. 56-53 and 57-52.

Joe Louis needed a last-round knockout to avoid defeat against 174 pound Billy Conn. He won a SD against Arturo Godoy.

"Louis won sloppily against a bruising, mauling and rushing fighter who knew no fear or retreat." The New York Times
The only rounds in which the three agreed were the 3rd, 8th (both to Godoy) and the 14th (Louis). Lecron had it 10-4-1 in rounds for Louis. Godoy thought he was entitled to a draw but the New York Times reported the decision as "eminently fair" - its reporter giving it 10-5 to Louis, stating that other reporters had a similar result.

Vitali has utter domination of second-tier competition the likes of which most other ATGs never achieve. This is evident throughout his career but especially impressive at ages 36-38, after multiple major surgeries. It's safe to say the guy is a tough fight for ANYBODY.

And even if he is small, he hits harder then Vitali and has better conditioning then vitali ever heard of. If he was fighting today he would be bigger and most likely taller. He would be up in his chest all day. His heart is also vastly superior.
ring intelligence..? Vitali might outpoint foreman at first, It would turn into a slug fest like the lewis-klitschko fight. Only foreman is bigger and hits harder then Lewis. So I think Klitschko would eventually get stopped on cuts.

Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Frazier, Bowe, Norton, all beat him. I could think of a lot more including a lot of contenders that I'd pick to beat him.
