Haye used to get major hype from sky but they didn't pick him up for the Mormeck fight anyone know why especially after the Fragomeni fight?

 

you guys complaining about PPV are morons. this is the only british fight since Hopkins vs JC that deserves ppv status.

Im sure sky will do a double ppv with the mayweather card.

 

They're on different weeks and JMM-Mayweather will be on HBO PPV whereas this will be on regular HBO.

 

Why are we morons? We already pay for our Sports channel so why the **** should we be punnished and forced to pay a extra £15 or €22 for a fight? I already pay €30 a month for Sky Sports. If they do a double header of 2 PPV fights at €22 each in 1 month its €74 for me to fork out. Its a recession out there and its always boxing fans that get hit were it hurts in our pockets. The stupid thing is whatever profit Sky make they dont invest in other big time boxing no they put all the money into the football they show. Look at the fights they failed to show Sky Frochs last world title fight they had the money to show the fight but never bothered about it. Then not to mention some of the top class fights from the US which Sky never picked up aswell. Only for Setanta we wouldn't of seen some top class American fights this year and they never did any sort of PPV **** that Sky did and they had the better fights that would of got big PPV sales.

 

If you want to continue being a boxing fan, get ready to fork out. the yanks have had to do it for years. im not saying its right this winging about ppv is getting boring.

you realise in the states they pay $30 for HBO, and then pay $50 for PPV's??? Advertisers do not want to associtate themselves with boxing thats why it ends up on PPV.

fair enough when its a bull**** amir khan fight, but this is the msot exciting fighter in boxing, who is british, fighting for the heavyweight title.

 

Rob it is just Sky being greedy *******s when it comes to British fighters when was the last time SKY showed a British fighter box for a World title on normal Sky Sports? Now you have the likes of Khan on a SKY PPV contract and he signed that when he was nowhere near World title level. 3 fights later he gets a World title shot he doesn't deserve.
The way Sky are doing it the likes of Rendal Munroe and Jamie Moore will soon be on Sky PPV when they get World title fights but who will buy those fights? The fights that Sky get from the US wont cost a lot of money if Setanta could get them then Sky would have no problem getting them.
Yes there are some fighters who you dont mind paying a PPV fee for but others you wont be bothered about. If Sky keep hitting the fans for extra fees they will notice the viewers dropping all the time for these fights. It would be nice to see SKY PPV dropping there prices down for the fights during this time cut it in half £8 a fight during these times.

To be honest I dont mind PPV - me and 3 or 4 friends rotate going to each others house for the fights - Whoever hosts the night buys the fight, then the rest of us buy the beer/kebabs/doritos!!

Just enjoy the fact that 2 huge fights look to be on in the space of 7 days!! Mayweather and JMM will be good despite the poor ticket sales. Haye V Vitali will be hyped by Sky well. Sky can promote VERY well when they want to.

Expect clips of Vitali being compared to Ivan Drago to attract the casual fan!!!

 

Sky should do a £15 for one PPV or £20 for two, considering how close both fights are.

Although in a more ideal world they would not be on PPV.

 

if something doesnt feature on sky sports news then it doesnt exist for most of the general public. Sky will plug the **** out of it and far more people will be aware of it than would be if it was on setanta and im sure a lot of them will get the PPV. it will do better than expected.

 

If sky promote this as well as they promoted Hatton vs Mayweather and Pacquiao then it will do well.

I would much rather it was live on ppv than 24 hour delay for free or dodgy stream (see the free legal stream on the bonsu fight tonight as an example) or not at all.

I will pay for it without major complaint although it would be nice to get a half decent undercard.

Unfortunately to get those big fights we are going to have to pay for them as our regular sky subs are paying for footballers wages like it or not.
