I give Haye as good of a shot as anybody against Vitali in his whole career spare for Lewis. Will pick a Vitali UD, but I'd expect Haye to win rounds and even create some drama. I always thought Haye matches up better with Vitali than Wladimir. I think both Vitali and Haye have really good chins, so I do think it'd go the distance.
Vitali still wins. Although he's on his way out, he still has a very good chin to rely on and a very high punchoutput for HW standards. Haye will never win the fight on points due to his lack of activity, and can't rely on judges giving him a gift against the older Klit. He also can't try for a lucky punch like he did against Wlad because he can't drop Vit with a single one. So he needs to go in attack mode to take it, and that's where he probably gets nailed himself if he tries. I'd say Vitali KO7 when Haye dares to attack, and wide UD12 when he doesn't. Of course injuries on old Vitali's side might radically change things.
I think Vitali is a SLIGHT favority here. Not a huge one. Big Vit should cruise to a UD, but Haye will have his moments. If Haye wins then on a TKO on cuts/swellings, Haye has to swarm Vitali and keep at him while avoiding his counters.
I'm not much of a David Haye fan so I hope Vitali takes it but I think Vitali is there for the taking now as he's showing his age and he will struggle greatly to land anything of significance on Haye. But Haye will probably only pot shot every now and then but if he does manage to land a big shot he might be able to follow it up and do the unthinkable.

I just think that Vitali's power is gone, he's ripe for taking. Based on his last few performances nothing is showing of the Vitali that completely dominated the likes of Tomasz Adamek & Chris Arreola. I think his fans understand that, which is why their is a ruckus based on Haye not deserving of a potential payday, it's dismissive. I'm not suggesting that Haye will dominate, but unless Vitali pulls out a prime performance at age 41. Haye will look to move those old legs around the ring and potshot his way to a win. Im in two minds about this fight Vitali couldn't really put a dent in Charr or chisora yet haye let himself down badly against Wlad. The thing that worries me about haye is his lack of stamina and vitali seems to be able to 12 rounds in his sleep. And yet i think that if Wlad couldnt put a dent in Haye then Vitali wont be able to. But because of the Wlad fight i feel that haye will have to engage vitali at some point and that might be a mistake. Hmmm its a tricky one to call.
Vitali will dominate Haye. He will counter Haye all night. Late TKO. If Haye runs, then it will be a clear UD!
Humiliated but healthy Haye goes the distance in fast pace and his chin gets to look stronger than it really is, again.
Yes he can take it. Vitali has not the one-punch-power of Wlad. Haye is too fast and if he avoided the punches form Vitali very well he had a great chance of a TKO win. Chris Byrd countered Vitali very good but Byrd was not a great puncher. Haye has great punching power and he is fast. Late TKO win for David Haye.
When Wlad-Haye was made I was of the opinion that Haye would lose, badly. I was also of the opinion that, even then, Haye would have a good chance of beating Vitali. Since then Vitali has slipped. Also since then, Haye has turned in a totally pathetic effort versus Wlad. So there are two questions for me: how far has Vitali slipped; can Haye correct the deficiencies in heart and mentality that saw him utterly out-boxed against a fighter of Vitali's class? Tjese are unknowables, really, but you can glean certain things in a fightweek, I always think. If they were fighting tomorrow i'd pick Haye.
