Isn't Haye ducking Pulev for Charr the bigger duck surely?

Shouldn't Stiverne be fighting Fury? Fury won the WBC semi-final eliminator against Kevin Johnson. Am I the only one who remembers this?

The winner of that fight was suppose to fight the winner of the other WBC semi-final eliminator - Stiverne vs Arreola. This fight was postponed several times forcing Fury to arrange the Cunningham fight to avoid being out of action for a long period.

Now Vitali is saying he will fight Stiverne and you guys are saying he is the mandatory challenger.

It seems like either Vitali doesn't want to fight Fury or the WBC has shafted Fury because the Cunningham fight gave him a high ranking with the IBF.

Either way the fans don't get to see a interesting fight between Fury and Stiverne.

Once again people will have reason to doubt the legitimacy of the WBC, it's mandatory challenger and ultimately the legacy of it's champions.

During the run up to the Chisoria fight, Haye himself said the fight 'doesn't look like it's going to happen now'.

I remember Chef himself saying there were some contractual issues or something :S

How exactly is Haye supposed to merit a title shot?

He is 2-1 over the last THREE years. The wins were over Audley Harrison and Chisora, who is nothing but a trial horse and who has never beaten anyone of substance.

And in his loss, the title shot, he did ****-all.

You can't duck someone who does nothing to put himself in line to deserve a shot. If Haye wanted a title shot, he should have gone out and fought some real contenders to prove his merit. If you want to go back to 2009 or 2010, well, he was doing what it took to earn a shot. But since then, please.

When wasnt there at least 3?????

I know, I know. But the modern HW division which has recognized one of the 3, the IBF, WBA, or WBC as the legitimate world ruler has existed in whole since the mid 80s.

Since then, Wlads is in very elite company.

I understand the Louis had to fight bums, literal cabbies. Literal dockworkers. But if Wlad was owned by the mob, and forced to fight cabbies and laborers, he'd be 785(785)-1. His only loss, a DQ for KOing the mobs next champ.:deal:deal:deal

What Vitali wants, I'm certain, is to retire after a big KO victory. That will help his political carreer. Charr surprised him (and us) by fighting like a rabbid dog, so Vittles cheated his way out if that bout and immediately started searching for the next designated punching bag.

As luck would have it, there's also that whole "mandatory challenger" thing (even though Stiverne should technically be fighting Fury next) so it's it's like an early Christmas for the big Vit.

I'm really surprised Vitali didn't just retire, since Stiverne has a slight chance if he goes to the body. But again, Vitali surely wants that big KO to wow the voting public. He'll SURELY retire after this fight, win or lose.

David Haye is a HW footnote.

Dan Rafael one of the biggest Klitard and Haye-ter out there :

"Haye can't ever erase the Klitschko loss, but he at least went a long way toward restoring his shattered reputation with an excellent performance and a quality win against a legitimate opponent. In fact,

"Haye wants a fight with Vitali, which could happen next year. Vitali is scheduled to face Manuel Charr on Sept. 8 in Moscow, and depending on whether Vitali wins political office in Ukraine in the October elections, he might retire.

"an active Haye fighting with that kind of appealing style is good for the heavyweight division and all of boxing."

Yeah, it's not like fighters have tune ups to shake off the ring rust, Haye is the only boxer who's ever done that. :patsch

Fighters who jump straight into dangerous fights after long layoffs are exceptions to the rule. I feel like I'm debating with people who don't follow boxing.

^^See that's a honest boxing fan. Dude doesn't even sound like a Haye fan but like many people, he knows Haye represents the biggest threat to Vitali at this stage and it's a shame the fight won't happen.

Haye has refused to fight Vitali many times over the years. Haye also backed out of a fight with Vlad, then finally that fight happened. Haye ran, held, fell down on the canvas holding Vlad's legs, a disgrace. Vitali had an implied contract to fight Haye and Haye backed out. Vitali has no reason to duck Haye, none at all, but Vitali must fight Stiverne who is his mandatory. At least Stiverne earned a shot at the title according to the WBC. Let Haye fight a number one contender, let him earn a shot at Vitali. Vitali got tired of Haye agreeing to fight, then back out. Vitali wanted to fight Haye, but let Vlad fight him instead because Vlad wanted the fight also. Let Haye fight Tony Thompson, someone Wilder refused to fight, good thing he ran..........After Vitali knocks out Stiverne, he should go ahead and knock Wilder out ASAP! Even an old Vitali can beat the top ten. Vitali will not follow Stiverne around the ring without throwing punches like Arreola did. Stiverne will have a very hard time landing a punch on Vitali. Vitali stopped Arreola, Stiverne could not. Arreola had Stiverne hurt in the 8th round, but Arreola could not hurt Vitali, lost every round. Easy fight for Vitali. Stiverne will be an easy fight for Vitali and Wilder will be even easier, very easy knockout.

Its only a year layoff. Kostya, Trinidad, De la hoya, Holyfield, Lewis, Vitali, Leonard (who cameback from retirement to fight hagler) have all have either a year off or far more in which all of those guys I mention won. It would be an over year layoff for haye if he went straight to vitali. So why cant haye go straight to vitali? Isnt vitali 41? Isnt vitali way too slow? Doesn't vitali fight like a robot? <<If so then should it haye have fought vitali instead of chisora? This is the part why I said there are too many stupid ppl in this forums cause they will ignored true facts.
