Oh yeah, "Vitali ducked Haye" when he was offering and agreeing to fights with him YEARS AGO. Notice how "years" is plural.

  2. Why the hell won't Vitali just take his beating from Haye?

For the same reason why Haye wouldn't "just take his beating" from Vitali for those several years.

    Answer: incorrect balance of risk/reward

    ---

I will gave Haye credit he did take his beating from Wladimir like a proper man.

No. Fury Johnson was just a WBC eliminator. Banks vs Mitchell is also a WBC semi eliminator. Basically with Arreola vs Stiverne being held up for over a year that's sort of clogged everything up. If Pulev Fury finally is a agreed both of those then will fall out of the WBC rankings.

That's what Fury's uncle said. Problem is there is no information confirming this. Maybe it was in case Vitali retired and the belt became vacant.

Vitali has always taken on the mandatory contenders for the title. Including Solis and now Stiverne. If Haye wanted a fight he would have had to either accept the short end of the stick in contractual terms, or get himself to become a mandatory opponent or fight some credible opponents. Even so, Vitali could have accepted Haye's... offer, but by no means did he have to given the circumstances.

Why on earth would a Champion accept a Challengers offer? :huh

Beating Stiverne will prove to be a nice stamp on Vitali's career. Stiverne is legit and even after his likely loss to Vitali he'll have a good shot at the WBC belt once Vit has retired.

Exactly. You're the champion, you get to call the shots, not the other way.

If the challenger was able to generate a massive purse for the fight, much bigger than anyone else in the division then it might seem like a good idea.

If the tv station that broadcasts your fights is desperate to make the fight then it might seem like a good idea.

If the champion has spent years calling out & promising to knock out the challenger then it might seem like a good idea.

If the champion & challenger both have a common, high-profile & recent opponent it might seem like a good idea.

If the champion has recently spent a fortune on a political campaign then fighting said challenger for a potentially career high purse might seem like a good idea.

Its also the biggest fight to be made in the division & something most boxing fans would love to see.

I don't understand vitali for ducking haye biggest pay day, fighting a cruiserweight, would be a big fav for the fight and receive more Presteige. Instead he fights this bum. Come on vitali give us(the fans) the fight we wanna see.

This is personnel,I want to knock out david haye etc if vitali hadn't said anything after the Wlad fight then nobody would be accusing vitali off ducking haye. But it was vitali who kept mentioning haye making haye relevant.

Then after the chisora vitali went Very very quiet. I'm not a vitali hater I'm just telling it like it is.

Haye had 3 chances to fight Vitali and took easier fights each time. He has nobody to blame but himself.

It would be a boring fight anyway we all have seen how Haye fights against the big Heavyweights and don't tell me Vitali is slow etc what in the **** do you think Valuev was? This old version of Vitali is better and faster than the Valuev he fought and the guy still ran, back peddled, posed, and pot shotted in an awful boring fight.
