Vitali is the Ben Johnson of the boxing world. Manny is like Flo-Jo, everyone knows but he'll never get caught.
Has Vitali quit? Yes. Was he thrown out of Amateur competition for failing a drugs test? Yes. Those are the facts. Onto the question, of why people would support him considering the facts? 1. Is quitting, with a substantial injury, while ahead on the cards, to have surgery, come back, and dominate the division for the next decade, a WORSE decision, than fighting on through the match, winning, aggrivating an already serious injury, and possibly damaging his career? In hindsight, he made the right choice. 2. On the drugs - Personally the only defence that can be made in this case, is that 1. He was young, many boxers (who I support, were at one time or another, criminals, gangsters etcetera) in their youth, many people do untoward things in their youth, it isn't something to be proud of, but in the same manner it isn't something to brand them with for life.
Do they restore full forum privileges once the ban is lifted? Didn't for me, my ban was lifted back in December and this lot don't even have the decency to reply to any emails pointing this out to them. Very poor indeed:bart
we have plenty of athletes here in the states juicing. Actually look @ vitali 's bulid compared to someone like shannon Briggs! who looks more roided up?!!!
