Vitali is a very intimidating dude

Exactly 4 years off is never a good thing. Peters had how many fights since Vitali had his last ? Like 10-11 and hes went threw so many big expeirences like coming back from his first defeat,2 big fights with James Toney,the comeback vs McCline and his huge and best win to date vs Oleg Maskaev. If this where 2004 id pick Vitali and comfertably but its not 2004 anymore not even close.

 

Problem is Vitali has a 3" reach advantage and peter has a very weak jab. He pushes it and leaves it out there. Vitali will destroy him with over the top counter rights followed by that devastating left hook

I think Peters only chance is an almost "bull rush" swinging power shots

 

so what, anyone can hit you and hurt you , anyone can be hurt. and the fact still remains he been out of the ring for 4 years.

 

This fight reminds me a lot of Tito-Mayorga

There were a lot of people saying that Tito was shot and inactive so he couldn't win. This would have been a valid point if he was fighting a better opponent

Just like Tito-Mayorga, the disparity in skill here is huge. And VItali may be old, but he's stayed in shape while he's been away. Peter blows up between fights and looks overweight going into this one. He's had troubles in camp. It's not like Vitali's coming out of retirement to fight a great opponent. He's fighting on overhyped, overweight fraud who has never looked the least bit impressive against top 15 caliber opponents. That includes Maskaev, who was an old man with a glass chin and has been KTFO repeatedly, and much more brutally in the past, including twice by mediocre journeymen like Whitaker and Sanders

 

:nono I am going with the guy with the better Chin and that is Vitali Klitschko.

 

Big difference between 46 months of inactivity and 28 like Tito plus Tito was alot younger and didnt have all the injuries Vitali had. I agree Peter is a fraud but its a dangerous fight for a man who aint fought in 4 years and had all those injuries its not like he was training the entire time according to him he was always hurt.

Peter's best chance is to go in crazy and try to get a 1 round KO.

I was impressed with Peter's stamina in Toney II but aside from that he comes in out of shape.

Yes, Vitali doesn't give a ****. It's too bad Wlad does not have his chin and aggression.

 

The only other fighter of Vitalis quality that sam has faced is Wlad and we know what happened there.

 

the thing that leaves me scratching my head is why didn't vitali take a warm up fight at least, then their would not be any doubt and their would be less risk involved. my gut instincts says vitali should win, but 4 years is a long ass time for anyone and my brain says peter should win by spectacular ko, but beating a washed up maskaev and passed it toney aside from almost getting ktfo is really not that impressive. vitali in his prime was a beast and was the blueprint for the klitchko arsenal but vitaly was much more aggressive than wladimir and much more competitive

 

ill be shocked if vitali doesnt knock peter out
