Arreola is no doubt easy to hit. His defense seems to be blocking punches with that giant potato head. I think Vitali still has enough left to beat pretty much any active heavyweight.

Personally, I think Wlad would have crucified Johnson, real bad...

He hasn't looked that good to me since his return. He's still a good fighter but he's not that fast anymore, and I'd be concerned if he actually fought somebody with offence how his reflex based defence holds up. It's a valid question. His power for some reason does not seem so brutal anymore.

Yet he's still dominated every fight which tells you about the no hopers he's been facing, but thats not his fault of course, that is the talent that is out there.

I agree. And I can't help but wonder why Vitali is hanging around? Is he really going to just wait for Haye, who may or may not want to fight him? Really, what else is there? No matter what people might say about his competition, it is clear that Vitali is well past his prime. He is still a good fighter in a weak division, yes. But he no longer possesses the speed or power to hurt even fake contenders like Kevin Johnson. Again, there is no shame to it. You could count the number of heavyweights who had successful careers after 38 or 39 on one hand.

Even this version of Vitali ain't losing to anybody in the next 2 years. He can still beat the living **** outta everybody in the division at damn near 40 years old.

No one is going to retire him, he will have to retire on his own terms.

So do I...but only Wlad. Any other heavyweight would have had significant problems overcoming Johnson's defense.

It's easy to say that now with Vitali at 39 yrs old. But a prime Vitali is all wrong for every version of Wladimir we've seen.

He may never have been as technically skilled as Wlad, but the intangibles VK brought to the table like chin, willingness to exchange, size, and knowing how to use those wins him a stoppage over Wlad almost every time IMO.

Styles make fights. Wlad probably could take him now -- at 39. But they will never fight. No one else has a prayer of winning against Vitali for a while. I still believe he could go on for a while considering the lack of talent out there.

I cant stand VK. However I dont think that anyone other than his brother poses a serious threat to him. Chambers could never get inside and would fight with a 35lb plus weight disadvantage. Haye, just dont see it happening. Johnsons purse should have been withheld that night. He did nothing to try to win any rounds, he just wanted to go the distance. Complete joke IMO.

And yet you don't see guys beating down the door to come and take his belt, do you?

Lets see him in there with Haye.

People, quit knocking Vitali Klit....... The man is great...... he's up in age, but in great shape and fighting at the world class level....... The guy has done everthing he has set out to do........ He is going to the IBHOF after he retires from the ring........ Nick Valubum is a BUM! He doesn't want Klitschko....... However, he'll go ahead if MULTI millions are only at stake... JESUS!!! Regardless, Vitali Klit is awesome........ I have him at # 6 on my ATG list of bad-ass mothers who can kick some ass....... WORD!!!

I think regardless of the pure boxing aspect, the best money for Vitali is probably Valuev then Haye. Legacy wise this is probably a good option too. If Haye somehow won convincingly against him, Haye/Wlad would be the biggest HW in a long long time if Wlad has also got past Chambers and Povetkin in the meantime.

This is all pretty obvious, I know.

Sorry, but Dave Haye is not destined for greatness at heavyweight or notability, either..... Haye is simply just another WBA title holder.... Haye has a gimmick and fan following outta the U.K. / Europe...... Haye will make a buck or two, and then lose his title and drop off the radar screen.... Haye is already being over-paid....... I'm NOT buying......

Well true. I'm not sold on David Haye either. But who is to know because he hasn't done anything solid yet as a HW and hasn't fought much at HW. His main marketability point at this point of time is based on what he might maybe possibly could do perhaps.
