having said that remember how strong Mamadou Thiam looked against Tito? But it was a complete strength mismatch the other way, Tito just bullied him and knocked him out.
Even Christobal said Vitali is hella strong. Stronger than he looks. Vitali is not an aggresive man. he can be when he wants to and blows opposition out of the water. I think Vitali is chillin on his belt right now. he doesnt need to prove himself anymore
I think I would bet more on a mentally strong and intelligent boxer with decent strength than a strong fighter with an average ring intelligence.
It proves that Vitali is stronger than the side by side pictures in the opening post indicate. Hence pretty much disintegrating the thread starter's argument.
SHannon Briggs's got too much muscles for a boxer. Jean Pascal is also not trained like a boxer. It's affecting his speed which was much better before the Hopkins fight. I've seen people say that Bute is too slim... Too slim for what ? He's built like a god damn boxer, same as Vitali. Look at Nonito Donaire. He looks weak but he packs a hell of a punch. Speed kills.
Speed, technique and functional strength kills. Having tits like Schwarzenegger and veins popping out everywhere is only going to send you on a fast track to the hospital.
Briggs said in his post fight comments that Vitali hit harder and was stronger than anyone had ever faced :yep You're the one who looks like a skinny shrimp
Yeah I remember him saying that. When I saw the fight live I was shocked the ref didn't stop it b/c he took such a beating, I was impressed and surprised that Briggs took in all of that punishment.
i guess thats what holding alot of fluid in your body does to you dont you think??dont talk about things uve no clue about...and by the way who gives a **** if briggs is stronger??who got there ass whopped??why would vitali bulk up hes already 250..if he was 270 he prob wouldnt be able to wipe his own arse..now **** off
This content is protected Yeah, he's dwindling to nothing, ain't he? In reality, he looks more powerful and developed here lately, than he ever has. :blood Most rediculous thread I've seen on this site, in quite some time, and that's saying alot. The 12 year olds are out in force, today, I guess.
Muscle definition doesnt mean strengh and punching power.. Hearns for example... His arms was skinny as hell, but he hitted like a mule..
Yes, and some big massive guys also don't have the power you'd think they would have/should have. Someone as big as Kevin Johnson, you'd think would have Tyson esque power, but he don't. But that's probably partly due to his inability/unwillingness to commit full force of his body into his punches.......legs, waist, chest, etc. But I think overall, muscle development does mean, on average, more punching power. Good example with Hearns............But............Not everyone is a Hearns type fighter who makes the most of a limited amount of mass. Most fighters (not all) have a more direct correlation between size and power........in that if they are built bigger, they tend to be more powerful with their punching... Again, I mean overall, but there are exceptions. From what I've seen, anyway. But as Briggs clearly shows, once you get past a certain size, the power does not transfer to punching force at the same rate........The punching power don't increase enough to offset the deabilitating limits on endurance, speed, and mobility.
