Vitali is ripe for the taking!!!

I think Vitali knows himself that he may be slightly on the decline and will push for the Haye fight ASAP. He was mentioning spring 2010 in his interview. Great fight,I just think Haye will struggle to find a game plan suitable to beat him. Vitali cuts the ring down too well for Haye to even consider the same tactics deployed in the Valuev match.

Who knows,im sure they will come up with something. Vitali is quite predictable and doesn't have many shots in his repertoire. When he tried that uppercut in the 12th it looked like the most unnatural shot Ive ever seen.

Despite his predictability,there's no denying the effectiveness of his style.

 

Haye can not beat Vitali. It would be over in double quick time. Jab, jab, straight right over the top. Goodnight vienna.

Vitali looks like he has done for his last 3 fights.... I've always said Haye is alot better off facing Vitali than Wladamir. He is slower, more of an open defence and more injury prone aswell.

Wishful thinking by people on the Haye bandwagon....

Johnson was in survival mode from the opening bell and proved to be pretty durable.....Haye on the other hand is anything but durable. And if you dont think Vitali wont make Haye miss and land his right hand then your delusional.

 

You can't judge a man's style on one particular fight where he had to adapt. Haye does NOT usually throw 10/11 punches a round if you actually bothered to watch other fights.

 

The time is right for Haye. Vitali won't be able to match his speed and power. Vitali showed his age last night.

Any man can be beaten, every heavyweight champion in history has been beaten bar one, Johnson could have beaten Vitali last night, it was a very slim chance, but a chance nevertheless

 

At that age every day makes a difference.

I agree that Vit looked like he aged, but as has been said, Johnson simply turned up to survive - and threw next to nothing.

Still, bring on the big day, hopefully people will be lumping large amounts on Mr. Haye.

Aged as he is, Vitali is still not Enzo Mac.

 

What are you basing this on? Quick victories are not really Vitali's game, haven't been for a long time. Vitali has not stopped anyone in "double quick time" since Kirk Johnson in 2003; his last six fights have gone to the 8th round or further.

 

I'm basing it on the fact that he hits too hard for Haye, and Haye will be going after him.

I like Haye a lot, and have done for a long time but he just doesn't have the beating of Vitali. Vit won at an absolute canter last night, anyone who thinks that's all he's got needs their head looking at.

Who's got the better chin, Vitali or valuev? Vitali
Who's technically better, Vitali or valuev? Vitali
Who's more mobile, Vitali or valuev? Vitali

Yet people seem to be of the opinion that after going on the run for 12 rounds against one of the worst champions in history, Haye is suddenly going to find something to KO Vitali.

 

Kingpin was in full defense mode, he was hardly throwing any punches, difficult to look good against an opponent 100% focused on defense.

 

I think people are underestimating just how well Vitali utilises his physical gifts. Yes he's boring and unspectacular, but he's just so damn hard to hit. Haye can win the fight, but I'm not sure that he will. Is Haye as good as we all think? Jury's still out in my opinion.

 

Yes, you have to be an ATG like Chagaev or Ruiz to stand toe to toe with Valuev...Guys like Louis and Dempsey were knocking circus attractions like him out when my great grandad was a young man. Natural aggresive fighters who refused to fight scared. Haye will fight scared against Vitali, based on the fact that he has no stamina and no durability.

 

I think Haye would have a shot...

 

For me Vitali is still the favorite against Haye.

The worry for Vitali fans from last night was his inability to throw uppercuts or angled hooks, for me it shows he must be carrying injuries still.

Yes he was winning easily with what he was throwing, but its not as if Johnson was doing anything and branching out would have meant taking risks. Any real champion should have tried to get him out of there. VK is hardly shy about throwing leather, hence my injury theory.
