Vitali is way under rated. Easy KO win for him over Arreola.

I can't believe you would make that comment with a picture of Samuel...? LOL!

He is the best heavy in a poor weight class. However, if we could put him against the best he would fair well. I'm not saying he would beat the greatest in their prime but it would be fun to watch!

IMO, Chambers has a small chance against Vitali, but I would never ever rate them 50/50. Maybe 20/80, considering Vitali might injure himself during the bout maybe 25/75.

But no way in hell 50/50.

Don't get me wrong, Chambers did an amazing job against Dimitrenko but let's not get carried away. In Dimitrenko, he beat a highly rated but really overrated young boxer who never faced any pressure as he largely fought cherry picked opposition. Dimitrenko was standing in front of Chambers like a frozen statue, crouching his back and lowering his chin. How much easier does it get for a smaller man to hit a taller boxer? This was like shooting fish in a barrel. Chambers had no problems simply closing the distance by making two steps forward and unleashing a few combos. Dimitrenko never hit back. Also, let's not forget how Chambers did against Peter. Watch the fight again. Then look how Vitali disposed of Peter. There difference in the respective level of dominance is astounding.

Against Vitali, it's not that Chambers will land nothing, but he will have to pay a high price for everything he tries to land. And when Chambers comes in close without proper preparation from the outside (which would be quite a feat with Chambers being the smaller man), Vitali will simply sidestep to the right and throw a left hook. For every 3 punches Chambers lands he will have to eat 5 from Vitali. Your guess who lasts longer.

Regarding Vitali's age: let's not forget that Vitali does not smoke/do drugs/doesn't drink/doesn't party/doesn't binge eat. He's always in top shape, all year around. Never a gram of fat on him. He doesn't pack on 20 lbs in between fights like Lewis did. From a biological age point of view (excluding his chronic bone/skeletal problems which appear to be with him from his kickboxing days) he is not 38 but more like 33.

I find it insulting that someone looking like Arreola gets to fight for a prize with such historical significance. Him turning up to fights looking like Mr. blobby Libre is a complete disrespect to the sport itself.

I'm not 100% sold on the Klitschkos, mainly Wladamir but at least they turn up in good shape for every fight.

I agree. Who are they goign to put in front of him next? Butterbean?

We need a fighter like Haye to get a contract that doesn't ask the world!

Vitali will make clown shoes of Arreola.

It'll be a onesided thrashing like Vitali did to Danny Willaims, all over again.

Lets see what happens on November 7th against Valuev. If Haye wins then there is NO reason why Vitali gets the bigger split of the purse when they are both legite world champions. 50/50 would need to happen and if it don't they will be seen as blatantely ducking Haye.

He should beat Valuev. All he needs to do is not be silly and try and knock him out. If Haye sticks on the outside he'll outpoint him 116 or 115.

    That's what i think anyway.

I think this thread was more aimed at his career and not this fight. No one sees him as great... but is he?

I think he could be but he needs to fight the best and there is few out there to challenge him.

However... if Vitali and Wlad decide to slug it out in one final fight for the pair of them before quitting can you imaging how much interest (Money) that would bring in?!

I would love t see it. It would be the fight of this century!

If Haye wanted to he could beat Valuev beating him every round in the process.... but Haye comes for the big KO so after 6 rounds or so I'll expect the ref to probaby step in after Valuev goes down a few times. Interesting fight though.

No way...Valuev gets (T)KO'd by Haye? I just don't see that. Haye might win by UD, if he fights smart. Valuev is a very basic boxer, but with that height advantage and lbs, he's not easy to (T)KO. The Klitschkos might do it, but Haye? I don't think so.

Excellent post. I don't agree with a lot of it, but I recognise a good post when I see it.

You think the Klitschos hit harder than Haye? he loads up with way more powewr than they do and besides, anyone that weighs over 15 stone that can turn their hip can KO anyone if they land on the button.... you ever seen Baer vs Carnier? when Haye fought at 14 stone he hit harder than most hevyweights out there anyway!

With Haye it's either win by knock out or be knocked out yourself.

The fight has already been decided and Arreola has already bought himself a one way ticket to Starchville by signing to fight.
