This content is protected After being retired for four years, Klitschko is making up for lost time by taking his third fight of the year, a defense against American Kevin Johnson (22-0-1) that was negotiated even before Klitschko smashed Cristobal Arreola into submission Sept. 26. And good news: HBO picked up the American television rights for the bout and will air it on same-day tape." I hate tape delay, don't see why they can't show it live around 4pm....but tape delay is better than nothing, I'll just have to stay off the internet.
Gee...it's seems like just a few days ago HBO was advertising "We feature the greatest fighters on the planet" and showed Arreola as their Heavyweight representative. Maybe they would not have picked it up if an American was not involved but I think Vitali has become the draw. There were many prominent fans ringside at Vitali/Arreola (One of the advantages of having a fight in LA) from Ahnold, Stallone, Denzel Washington, Pete Rose and so on. I think Vitali's story is starting to catch on in the USA :yep :bbb :good
Let's hope so! :good Here's a very good article from the LA Times for those that haven't read it: This content is protected
That's not true. HBO is network and ratings are what counts. They're picking this fight up because the Vitali vs. Arreola fight was their highest rated fight this year. Please do some research before you post crap.:nut
Can understand you! I,too, hate tape delay! Just keep away from your comp, your radio, and our forum here on esb!
Ya, I'm always paranoid that I'm going to hear about the result by accident...just have to be careful.
