What do you guys think? I see this as a great matchup that would go the full distance and be close throughout. The jab of Holmes is the deciding factor though and Holmes wins a close decision. Cant see anyone hurting the other badly but there might be a few shaky moments for Holmes if Vitali keeps landing the straight right

    Agree with Asterion,

I like Holmes by a hard fought decision over either 12 or 15 rounds, depending on what its scheduled for. I can't see it being an easy fight, as Vitali had more size, durability and a better outside fighting game than say Gerry Cooney. A cut stoppage is possible, but for the moment I'll go with Larry on points.

Vitali beats Holmes at his own game , maybe sometimes beats on him in close 4 periods , Holmes probably takes d full beating 4 12 or 15 , might even win a rd in d process , all of this asuming it's prime Vitali as well and that he does not dislocates or tears anything .
Same with Vitali vs Ali , Wladimir vs Ali and probably Wladimir vs Holmes as well .

Holmes is better at Vitali“s own game....faster, better footwork and jab.....

I know and he'll actually argue for page after page, defending his bull**** until the other guy finally gets tired and drops it..

yes , and at his own game .
If Doug Jones , Joe Frazier , George Chuvalo and Ken Norton could , y wouldn't they ?
Henry Cooper & George Foreman only "failed" at it due 2 both Ali's and Dundee's despicable and sometimes criminal acts .
I think Carl Williams , Pinklon Thomas & Tim Witherspoon while on their game would have posed more problems 2 Ali than those who were evenly matched with him , so y wouldn't d Klitschkos ?

because Holmes was bigger , stronger , faster than him ? or was it because Holmes hit harder ?
do u think Holmes' arm , including his sharp thumb extended , would have reached Vitali's eyes more often than Vitali's fist would b in his face ? how so ?
