Vitali was a big puncher back in 2000, not today.

I'd love to see the fight, not because Valuev would be such an amazing challenge for Vitali, but because it could set him up to finish his career with a very decent legacy considering the available opposition. If he beats Valuev and Haye he would cement his aspiration for a spot in the HW HOF.

It is (probably) off. Bonte (K2 manager) was on the record that if he doesn't hear back from King until Thursday night the fight is dead and they will sign with another opponent today allegedly.

Valuev is not mobile enough, nor does he have the defense to keep the damage from accumulating.

Its just a matter of time. I'm guessing 1 round of "testing each other" then 4 rounds of Vitali grinding him down and catching him with something big in the end.

 Vitali being taking into deep water.... Vitali is far faster than Valuev and has good timing that I expect he will be able to slip most of Valuev's telegraphed shots and counter him all night. Even though he is 7+ feet tall he only has a few inches in reach on Vitali and the differences in speed and skill will more than make up for that. And while at time Valuev has displayed a good jaw there are other times that he has been wobbled very badly, the clip is up on youtube.

He has stopped every guy but the last one since his comeback. He is not a one punch KO guy but his punches are consistently hard and I believe he will stop Valuev.
