Wlad is greater but Vitali was better IMO and would beat Wlad H2H. Glad it never happened, I can’t imagine fighting my brother...at least since I was 16 or so

Don't want to take anything away from Wlad's reign. But prime Vitali would be too much for him. Better defence, and way more durable than his little brother.

I'd go with Vitali. Wlad wasn't good vs top pressure fighters, and Vitali had a confrontational / active style. Sooner or later some of Vitali's punches would land, and I don't think Wlad could the too many of them.

The range and size of the two fighters are even, the durability, and defense are not. Wlad could win too, but he's have to be aggressive, he could not skate using his size and jab alone like he did in some of his fights.

While both brother would pick the other, the results vs. common opponents show Vitali as the better.

Vitali with the late Fritz Stunek in his corner vs. Wlad with the late Manny Steward in his corner would be awesome!

Since i am German i know the brother´s had some issues after Wlad´s defeat to Brewster in 2004.
Vitali gave him the advice to quit boxing and he didnt like Steward back in the day. He tried to convince his little brother to go back to Sdunek but Wlad turned it down, he even said Vitali to leave his camp since he didnt like his negative approach towards Emanuel.

But you know what nobody of you Posters mentioned:

Both brothers are lowsy infighters, they dont have a real infight game. And since Wlad under Steward learned so well about Jab -> Jab -> Grab, it would be VERY difficult for Vitali to fight his usual fight against Wlad.

Wlad has a bigger wingspan + better Jab, and if he would close to gap and grab Vitali like an octopus, Vitali would have much trouble to get out of this since his infight was not really good.

Have you watched him against Spinelli, Kennedy, partly Arreola, Johnson or the Frenchman (before Hide)?

Wladimir Klitschko was terrible against taller fighter, Vitali walks him down and catches up to him and stops him, Wladimir would try and use his tactics what he used against smaller opponents like jumping back with his arms out to stop them getting into range, but Vitali would just punch over it

He didn’t know how to use those fundamentals against a taller boxer who could box at range, you could tell he found it very awkward, he didn’t know how to set himself in the right way to land punches, he didn’t know how to use his jab, he was just befuddled

More than ﹰHolmes, ﹰAli and arguableﹰﹰListon had. Again did you watch the destruction of ﹰFrancescoﹰSpinelli ﹰor ﹰRicardo Kennedy?
