I agree I have heard many times about how Tyson didn't have a great chin, bs he could take a shot, Ruddock landed many bombs.. Douglas gave him a beating before he got the KO in the 10th, and Holyfield also landed tons of flush shots on Mike and Mike was still standing (though he was gone).. Tyson had a very good chin.. I don't even count the Lewis fight as that was not Tyson, but again he took some big shots from Lennoxs as well..
Tyson had a great chin. He was hit a lot and very cleanly in the 90's. His defense got lax because of his great chin.
tyson has a stellar chin for sure. if you don't think so then just look at the lewis fight or the douglas fight
Agree :thumbsup :thumbsup Tyson looked like 80% of his best against Etienne in 2003. His defence/head-movement looked brill. tyson looked 85% of his best in 1999 And 2000. when he fighted Nielsen he was a little/bit heavy - BUT he looked good early. In round1 against Lewis 2002 he looked at least 90% of his best/peak - BUT the huge-haymakers of Lennox tuck everything out of him in first 3mins round of teh fight.
That is absolute nonsense, of the highest order. Tyson looked 80% of his best against Etienne :rofl:rofl:rofl Tyson post prison started out about 60% of what he was before he lost to Douglas and it was all decline from then on from what I watched, with the possible exception of the Golota fight, he looked 'decent' in that one but still not anywhere near as good as his best.
Well said lefthook. How much would the outcome change if this was the Tyson who stopped Golota? Vitali-Sanders leads me to strongly question if Vitali could handle that Tyson.
Damn i'm jealous Bonecrusher, i dont think Tysons even been to australia to visit! Only top ranked U.s Fighter ive seen fight in person is Roy Jones jr lol & that wasnt a good night for him atsch
Etienne was chinny. It's difficult to make any judgements based on that fight. Tyson was still a threat in the early rounds, as was Corrie Sanders, but Vitali would last out the onslaught and then slowly break down Tyson, who eventually retires on his stool or is stopped on his feet.
