Did Vitali quit after getting a horrid gash in the Lewis fight and after eating atomic uppercuts?? Pretty sure he redeemed himself in the heart category in that fight. And Byrd was wearing him down with body shots?? Lmao! Vitali was leading comfortably on the cards and if anything was getting worn out it was Bryds voice box from going "WOOOO!!" After every other shot Vitali snapped to his dome.

Only in your psychotic, sad Klitschko hater land do you conveniently ignore those facts.

Why would he quit after taking a few uppercuts?

Skinny 214 pound Ziko Merovic eat uppercuts off a fitter fresher and sharper Lewis all night long. Taking them a lot better than Vitali did.

Old man Holyfield whose punch resistance was on its way out took uppercuts from a better Lewis and kept coming forward.

The Ghost of Mike Tyson eat 3 nuclear uppercuts flush in round one and still lasted longer than Vitali did - - once again - against a better version of Lewis.

I could go on all day.

Vitali was bambi'd off a jab and staggering all over the place against a Lewis who clearly looked atrocious.

Doesn't matter a damm if Vitali was leading against Byrd. He was visibly knackered by round 9 and could not continue. He got stopped. Boxing history is filled with similar instances

You don't seem to understand how the sport works. I'd refrain from posting until you do.

I have said in the past if Vitali knew how the western press reacted to the event he might have finished the fight. He learnt the hard way and was blasted by the Teddy Atlas types though Atlas later changed his mind about his heart in the Lewis match

If he wasn't fearing for his career ( He was a sports doctor ), he might have also finished the fight. But his arm went numb and he feared permanent damage.

Or if the fight was at the very end of his career with money made, he might have risked further injury and finished the fight.

No one, ( well maybe outside of Dino ) thinks Byrd would have won a re-match. It's a fluke result, sort of like the world's best tennis player being up 2 sets and leading in the third only to be forced to withdraw due to an injury suffered.

The hall of fame is full of people who quit vs lesser men. So feel free to cast a stone.

    Horrendous compassion.

Are you allowed inflict physical damage on other tennis players to the point where they are no longer able to continue?

Who wins the re-match Dino? Sometimes guys just get injured without being hit.

All this proves is that he'd quit again under the same circumstances.

A boxers life blood is his hands. You didn't see Mayweather quit and cry about needing to protect his hands did you?

    Dino,

I did not see Mayweather with a torn shoulder that needed surgery either, and he'd never take a fight on less than 2 weeks notice with his title at stake as Vitali did vs Byrd.

It was later proven that Vitali could win a fight with this injury vs Chisroa.

I'll ask again. Who do you think would have won the re-match?

You saw Mayweather wince in agony from a broken hand. Then you saw him hop on his bike while he figured out how to win.

Vitali was gassing out. That was his problem. There was no point in that fight where he looked like a one armed fighter. It was sad excuse to save himself the shame to losing and quitting against Byrd.

He passed Byrd over to Wlad and fought Timo Hoffman that same year.

That tells you all you need to know.

You now on strike two. Once again, who do you think would have won the re-match? Can I get an answer, please? It's not that hard to state a name. Assuming a person would have the same injury is pretty rare, so don't pick that option.

Hoffman was Vitali's comeback fight. When King had Byrd and his game of titles vs his men, he wouldn't dare risk Bryd with a title vs Vitali.

Wlad had to pay big bucks to get Byrd back in the ring.

I can't see Moorer winning this. He had no measurable advantage whatsoever..

While VK is not a huge puncher he has more than enough to spark glass chin Moorer plus Moorer always lacked confidence......this is a no win situation for him. Probably a five to six round affair at best.

    I think Vitali would win

He has the size, strength, and enough skill to beat Moorer. Moorer wouldn't be hard to find. Moorer didn't have the movement to trouble much bigger guys.

    That's a better matchup.
