Now you are going to pretend that what I mentioned is only because of size? Logic should remind you that we are talking about a very skilled big man... not some big guy who isn't athletic, and can't fight.

    Like i said before...obtuse!!

How often did Joe Frazier fight above 200 lbs in his career?

Like I said before...he literally wouldn't be able to compete in this version of the heavyweight division.

He would be a cruiser for a good majority of his career.

Frazier's win over Ali is definitely greater than anything that Vitali accomplished. So what? That doesn't mean that he beats Vitali head to head... that's just a distorted way of thinking.

A big skilled man fighting BUMS,very prone too injuries, lost to a very poor Lewis in his prime and has a terrible resume and will never be close to a great like Frazier.

Look at Larry Holmes' career...his resume is crap and is still viewed as one of the ATGs.

Don't ignore the obvious skill and natural atributes.

    Vitali is a beast.

I ****ing love it when 'boxing fans' come up with this ****. What exactly points to the fact that Vitali would have knocked Lennox out had it carried on? Was it that Vitali won the first 4 rounds and couldn't knock Lennox over after throwing everything at him? Was it that Lewis had won the last 2 rounds and Vitali appeared to be tiring while Lennox was just finding his rythm? Or was it that Vitali was clearly starting to fade as a force in the 5th after a few big uppercuts from Lewis had Vitali holding on? Or was it that if his eye got any worse Lennox would have had to quit through nausia because of the horrific sight of Vitalis face?

And you're right i didn't see LL fight Lewis... and if that fight happened and you saw it... both you and LL need to book yourselves in under the mental health act. Sounds to me like Lennox may have a split personality disorder. That fight must of been some funny **** to watch though. By the way who won? Lennox or Lennox?

I also love the way people say... 'Vitali only had 2 weeks notice and wasn't fit'. NO. Lennox wasn't fit because he was scheduled to fight a nobody while Vitali was very fit because if i remember correctly Vitali was scheduled to be fighting on the undercard that night anyway. Neither fighter was really prepared for the other but out of the 2 i would say Vitali had trained harder leading up to the fight and still had his face nearly taken off from punches :!: from an unfit, under prepared, unmotivated 38 year old Lennox Lewis

You talk in circles and nothing that you are saying explains why Joe Frazier would beat Vitali head to head. If you think that the Heavyweight division throughout the entire world is full of bums, then you are not a very bright person. That wasn't a "very poor" Lewis, it was Lennox Lewis get over it. If Lennox wasn't in great shape he wouldn't have survived the 2nd round. Also, that wasn't Vitali in his prime. That was an extremely green Vitali who had NEVER had a big fight before. It was also a Vitali who was only training for a 10 round fight against an opponent that he was expected to walk over. Anyone close to Vitali or in his camp will tell you that Vitali became a MUCH better fighter after his fight against Lewis. It was his performance in that fight that proved to himself that he could beat anyone... and he began fighting and training like that.

You are right, Vitali's resume isn't that great. His prime was cut way short due to his injuries. However... all of this proves nothing on the topic of Vitali vs Frazier head to head. Vitali is a horrible stylistic match-up for Joe... that's the reality of it.

Of course it is. Beating Ali is a great deal and probably the only reason Frazier makes anyone's top 10 list. We weren't comparing resumés were we? We were comparing them head to head at their respective peaks.

LL beat much better fighters than those bums... the only one there that has ANY substance to even hold a claim to have warranted a fight with a fighter in Lewis's class was maybe Sanders but he got TKO'd in 7 rounds i believe by Rahman which got Rahman the title fight. ****ing nuthuggers man.... i thought *******s were bad but you guys are on a whole new level

You really are pathetic. You are proving that you have no way of backing up anything that you say. You just blurt **** out there and pretend like it's the gospel. You are showing your cowardice by resorting to posts like you just made. A cheap attempt to discredit what others are saying, and trying to get one of the other posters who are doing the same thing as you to quote you and give you a virtual high five on your masterpiece. I never called Frazier a bum... I actually said that he clearly ranked higher on the ATG list than Vitali. This is why I am owning your ass right now. I have the ability to be rational... you don't.

An over-weight, past prime, under-prepared and unfocused Lennox Lewis beat a prime Vitali Klitschko for **** sake. He got beaten by the Lewis that turned up in the original Rahman fight.

Lewis beats Vitali prime for prime 4 out of 5 times. The Ali from the '67 Cleveland Williams fight would box rings around Klitschko, Holmes would control him with his jab and footwork, Louis and Foreman would knock him out. Vitali has a very good chin, but this is the guy who's been put down in sparring by Travis Walker and Raphael Butler. No matter how good his chin has looked in this modern era, he ain't contending with 2 of the biggest punching heavyweights of all-time.

He has a chance against guys like Frazier and Marciano based on his power and size, that's pretty much it. I still wouldn't make him favourite against either. Not to mention the guy has one of the weakest heavyweight resumes ever. Sam Peter, Corrie Sanders, Herbie Hide, Danny Williams, Larry Donald, Timo Hoffman. Wow. Amazing.
