I'm a V.K. nut-hugger...... I realize he has had it fairly easy along the way to being champ but, with his size and strength, I can envision V.K. hanging in there with anyone from the past dating back to John L. Sullivan.......... I'm serious..... MR.BILL
I can understand not feeling wlad, but how can anyone NOT like Vitali? i mean the guy is all blood sweat and guts. and for the record Lennox was NOT ****ing winning that fight. As soon as the WBC told lennox if he dosent rematch vitali he'll be striped he retired, he robbed vitali of his legacy because he knew he was gonna get knocked out in the rematch. to leave a great legacy you must fight great fighters, and lennox didnt allow vitali the chance to fight a great fighter to save face with his flimsy W over a Cut. like when byrd got beat the **** up for 10 rounds and vitali tore his rotator cuff and had to quit and byrd walked around for the next 5 years like he soundly beat vitali oh please. Imagine if rahman or mccall retired right before lennox got granted a rematch after they knocked him out? Well Lewis did just that to Vitali. ****ing coward robbed us all of a potential fight of the century because he knew Dr. Iron Fist was gonna put his punk ass to sleep.
"Lewis-Klit 2" is pointless here in 2009.............. Christ, Lewis is age 44 coming up.... And Lewis looks like he's 285 to 300 pounds these days........... He aint gonna want to train down to 245 to 252 pounds anymore........ I don't ever wanna here **** in the news that Lewis suddenly needs money because he's broke...... C'mon, not every fighter is an idiot like "Tyson & Bowe." Or horny as hell like Holy........ MR.BILL
Nothing new, he is always in shape. Pictures of Gomez who has a tendancy not to train very hard would be more interesting.
Not what i was expecting. Given the title of the thread i rather expected to see Vitalli, Elton John and Lennox Lewis hamming it up on the Karaoke at Benders night club
He is 6'7'', so I could agree with you easily... the only problem is that he never was THE CHAMP in the first place. Most of arguments here are about VK having all the tools to beat Ali, Foreman, Frazier,.... Well, there is another thing I do not understand - having all the tools is definitely not the thing which makes someone ATG, let alone "very greatest of the all time great champs". And in terms of achievements it is difficult to make VK top20.
Explain how that was a comfortable win? Cut can happen through glancing blows, they do not prove the superiority of the fighter who wins on cuts. Vitali having a glass jaw? Very funny indeed...
What is an ATG then? Vitali owns the all time KO%, he was only one of two champs never to be floored by a punch, he has the best rounds won to rounds lost ratio in boxing...never down on any score card after three rounds, and has an ATG great come back at age 37, taking nealry 4 years off, then KOing a world title holder who was ranked #2 in the world with no warm up fights.
Lewis has an 18 million dollar offer for the re-match. He knew he was going to lose the re-match, which is why he retired.
