I just love how most of the american fans on this board despise the Klitschko's. They just can't deal with the fact that they really are good heavyweight fighters who happen to be educated and respectful people. I am an american and I am distgusted by all of you who let your biases blind you. Is there some kind of un-written law that states the HW champion must be an overly ecentric **** talking ego-maniac type of character to fit your perception of what you consider a "bad-ass" fighter? How can you say Holmes murders Vitali? When did you see Larry ever fight a durable guy who was 6'7" with huge reach/power, decent athletic ability, and an unconventional style? You can't compare either Klit with the greats of other eras because the only giant men that existed back then were very goony and uncoordinated. And to say that Lewis wasn't in shape for Vitali is accurate, but to say the worst version of Lewis beat the best of Vitali COMFORTABLY is just plain stupid. Face it morons, the Klitschko's are the best of this era of heavyweights and either one would give any of the ATG's a tough night's work. When you try to discredit their ability in the ring and deny the fact that both are very athletic considering how large they are, you just make yourself look like a dumbass.

Middle America right here. Huge fan of the Klitschko Brothers. Some of the reasons I'm a fan are because of their "out of the ring" attitude, respectful, etc...

Vitali just isn't that good, if he was he would've been able to beat Lewis, imagine if Marciano lost to Louis or if Tyson lost to Holmes or if Holmes lost to Ali, Vitali was in a similar position, Lewis was 38, inactive, out of shape and near shot but he still WON the fight.

Nice work. They just can't stand the fact that the current best 2 HW's aren't thug-wanna-bes

    Really? :think

Other than the "Vitali isn't that good" part I agree with what he is saying. Or perhaps it shows just how good Lewis was. :deal

Maybe 'The Great' was being a touch antagonistic, but then again I suppose YOU can relate with your sweeping statement about us Brits.

I agree. He may not beat every atg every time but he would certainly give them problems. His size is formidable, his work rate good, his ability to avoid punches by leaning is good, great cumulative power, strong chin, good hand speed, ability to adjust (Sanders fight). He definitely provides a lot of match up problems for anyone.

I have to wonder if any of you Klitschko fans have watched either Vitali or Wlad fight. Athletic? Long reach? Really?:patsch

:patsch *****, I'm not a brit, I was simply stating the truth about your boy, he got his ass handed to him by a very faded Lewis. What does that have to do with dumb brits?

The VK-Lewis fight was a close fight despite Vitali winning it, who knows what would've happened after the 6th round.

That's all I'm saying. I realize his resume is lacking but it's mostly due to injuries. Many people forget that VK was a kickboxer before becoming a boxer. That took a huge toll on his health IMO.
