Welliver is definitely ready for a guy like Klitschko. Nothing prepares you for a title shot like fighting 15 200-300 ranked guys in a row...

    I'd rather give Briggs a rematch. :)

Exactly....and one that has never been down and throws 100+ punches per round for all 12 rounds. Vitali is going to be unable to match that out put and he has no real power to phase Welliver. I can't see anything but a 11-1 12-0 UD score for Welliver. If Vitali's body can hold out for all 12 rounds.

he totally should stick to cruisers, esp at 40 years of age.

perhaps hes been reading the ribbing he gets on this forum and thinks he has a point to prove. well, tbf, he does.

he gets a bit more respect from me for this, if its true.

**** that, Welliver has done nothing to deserve a world title shot, this would be even worse then Mormeck getting a shot.

Vitali Klitschko’s next challenger will be Chauncy Welliver in Frankfurt on June 16. He is rated No 6 by the WBC, but that is based on quantity rather than quality. The 28-year-old, who splits his time between the USA and New Zealand, has scored 17 wins since being stopped by Odlanier Solis in 2008, but the victims have been the usual suspects: Jimmy Hayes, Galen Brown etc. Not one of the guys he has beaten in those 17 fights, is, was ,or even will be, in the WBC top 40, but somehow Welliver has risen to No 6. Never mind the quality feel the quantity.

thats a fair comment, but mind you, its a forty year old up against a prime HW. Its dangerous 4 Vitto.

Fair comment though, its not far off Vitalis bum of the year club.

This is just the 1st Klitschko fight too. And I will be there to reunite with my German Roots. Tell my people I am coming home (Germany Is My Island!) and that "Money" Mark "Messer" Schmidt says Vitali is going to get his arse kicked! And then we are coming for Glass WaldJoe Klitschko Next!
