Maskaev is a mandatory for Vitali.

Maskaev is easy money for Vitali. But no American TV outlet is going to be interested in showing this fight. I would not be surprised to see Vitali fight Arreola in Los Angeles or Valuev next if he can win the arbitration case against the WBC.

some of those scorecards in the round by round thread were hilarious. Even Teddy Atlas who hates Vitali Klitschko had him winning every round but the first. I wondered what fight they were watching.

Vitali should fight Valuev, I think it can be marketed alot better. On top of that, I think Valuev's size and top notch chin would ensure it goes the distance. This fight would be very boring, but I promise you it will be close, with alot of the rounds being up in the air. From what I seen last night, I believe a tall fighter would give Vitali some trouble, it really did appear that it wasn't Vitali's skills that won that fight, it was more so his size than anything that drained the fight out of Gomez IMO.

 

Vitali would destroyed Valuev. If a 45 year old Holyfield can easily outbox Valueve, Vitali would do it easily.

Different fighters, different styles. I'm not saying Valuev is anything special, but Vitali's skills seem to be gone to **** and given Vitali's size and chin, the fight would at least go the distance.

How in the world did Maskaev get the WBC mandatory again? I had no idea about that, and it sounds crazy to me.

 

The WBC are giving Maskaev a title shot so he will drop a lawsuit against them.
