His chin seems to be ok, but he has only been tested on some rare occasions. McCAll, Toney; mercer, Holy, Bowe...those chins have been tested.

 

Bull. Lewis landed his best. Sanders landed his best. Hide landed some hard right hands early. Vitali has a granite chin. He is one of two ring magazine champions never to be floored.

 

McCall was badly stunned vs. Bruce Seldon. Very close to going down. Watch round 9 of their fight is you dare. McCall was in trouble vs Buster Douglas. While McCall has a great chin, its not as good as the fans think.

I doubt Seldon could stun Vitali.

Holyfield has a great chin for sure.

Lewis and Sanders did hurt Vitali on a few ocasions. Other than that his chin has never really been tested. Also, other fighter lose power as they have to punch way upwards.

It is obvious you can't compare Vitali's chin to proven chins lke Holy, Toney, McCall...

 

In order for something to be called a knockdown, a punch actually has to land. Watch the slow motion replay. Sanders didn't land a punch and Vitali immediately got up, annoyed because he got pushed/tripped down.

Never having suffered a knockdown in his pro career is distinction that few can claim. While not tested to the extent some others have been, his chin is the last thing that will cost him a fight.

 

No, it is not bull. Nor is it in any way a dig at Vitali: if anything it is a compliment.

I agree with you, this is just a ridicoulous thread. Hide did not land ****. Sanders landed a couple of shots and wobbled Vitali slightly.

Vitali's chin has not been tested enough, so he can't be mentioned among ATG chins. I mean, how many big shots did he take during his carerrer, this is just an awful thread.

 

Yes, thats why he should be a big favourite in his next fight, even if Chris is 27-0 (24).

If I remember correctly, Ray Mercer and David Tua both have excellent chins.

 

Lewis had an iron chin :rofl . It's the "god save the queen" lads at their usual delusional best :rofl. Lewis has been KOd twice, on wobbly legs too many times in too many fights. His chin was above average but nothing special.

 

You realize I could make a video like that about any fighter? I could take bits and pieces from Jason Litzau fights or Audley Harrison fights and make a video that claims they have an Iron Chin. But do they? Hell no.

The ONLY fighter I could not manipulate a video about is Amir Khan because his Chin is that bad.
