haye better be running marathons in training. if i was him, id come in as light as possible. no sense in bulking up since he was no chance inside. copy holyfield's strategy and pray. i'd like to see a competitive fight but i dont think haye will have the stamina to move constantly or the ability to fight disciplined. I see him getting tired and making a fatal mistake. Vitali should aim for the top of Haye's head. It looks like he has trouble taking shots there
Well years ago when vitali was alot fitter and alot less injury prone hide managed to out speed him for a round, hide is smaller and weaker than haye so what makes you so sure haye can't do it?
based on haye's previous fights and barrett especially. He was at a new weight and began to tire after round 3. He became stationary and started to slug. He was getting caught with jabs and a couple of wild rights. Vitali will take advantage of Haye's sloppiness with his straighter, more compact shots. eg) Haye leading with wild power shots will get countered quickly Getting pushed around/mauled in the clinch by a smaller hw like Barrett doesn't help his chances. Vitali was able to outmuscle Lennox in the clinch. Lennox was one of the strongest hws ever. When a man that big leans on u, it takes so much out of u. I just don't see a path to victory for Haye unless there is an injury.
at the lower weights he was weight drained and i think he wanted to slug agsint barrett i am not now saying haye has amzing stamina but i think it's alot betetr than your makign out. Also being realistic chris byrd made vitali miss enough to dmage hiss houlder what makes you thibk the same might not happen again.
Vitali is better than his little sister, unfortunatley he'll beat Haye rather easily. Haye vs Wlad would have been a more exiting fight, Haye would have been favourite. Now he'll get get ko'd in 6.
we'll see. his stamina is gonna be a bigger problem at hw than his chin imo. just the way he fights, the add'l weight, and the lack of running in his preparation (i read he doesn't do much roadwork) yes he has excellent speed and very good power but when he gets tired, haye loses speed and becomes very wild and sloppy. technique and boxing ability come in far more handy in those instances. that's why it so hard imaging a haye victory. he cannot expect to get vitali out early w/that chin. Vitali has excellent stamina imo. Yes, he breathes with his mouth open but the man usually throws 70 punches per round. Haye has a pretty low workrate. he likes to flurry with power shots, retreat and repeat. not a lot of boxing except early in his fights. However, Vitali will not let Haye rest and pressure him. That's where i expect Haye to make the fatal mistake
sorry dude. wlad would have been something like a 3 to 1 favorite. google it imo, wlad would have jabbed haye to death til he quit on his stool or booth stopped it.
And you can't forget just how strong Vitali is: 35 out of 36 by KO. Yea - I know Haye has a similar record.
