Vitali Klitschko: 'I Have Big Hopes For A Second Fight With Lennox Lewis'

Vitali has ruined the entire idea of coming back and taking a tuneup first.

REAL fighters come out of retirement, seek out the toughest, hardest punchers there is, and beat the HELL out of them..........cold.

He has set a predecent, now, and a comebacking fighter who now has to have a tuneup is now seen as a wuss.

 

There's a big crop of fans who would enjoy this. Personally, I have no interest.

 

Mostly Vitali fans who have troubling reading "Lewis TKO 6 Klitschko"

 

Calzaghe is no bum. he took a prime jeff lacy to boxing clinic. Jones, until recently gave respect to him and only now , understandably, to hype the fight talks a little trash.

 

Neither of the Klitschkos are bums either.

 

I can't see this happening. Lennox has to be like 325 now and he's what, 43?

You can never say never, but I really doubt this will come off. Even if it did, I'm not sure how good of a fight it would be. I like Vitali, but even he's not what he once was, cardiovascularly. Imagine where Lewis is, then.

 

Vitali should forget about Lewis and accept the fact that Lewis wants to stay retired. Now that Vitali is healthy, he should stay active and defend the belt if they can't get the WBA next. It better not be around this time next year when Vitali fights again.

 

Vitali wants to fight Lewis more than anything, but he will probably knock Gomez out before he fights Valouev or Lewis. Doubt if Lewis will fight him though.

 

There is enough money in this fight to give Gomez step asside money. It is up to Lewis. Will he give the re-match he said he would?

 

If Lewis didn't have the motivation to take it years ago when he was active then it WON'T happen now and I don't think Lewis needs the money anyway.

 

I've been criticising Lewis a lot for saying he will give him a rematch back in the day and not doing so, you can start yet another discussion about why he refused it before though it's also clear Lewis wasn't motivated anymore for a tough fight like that again but right now a rematch is worthless.

 

Worthless? 25 million is not worthless. Also, boxing fans need big nights. Klitschko vs Lewis II is a big night.

 

Worthless because Lewis has been retired for a while now, too old and not motivated anymore. This is like saying Wladimir Klitschko vs Evander Holyfield is a good fight, they look sweet on paper but in reality it's not as good as it looks. It was going to be good if it happened immediately after the first fight, but it didn't so it's pretty much over with.

He is offered something close to that anyway, 25 million UK pounds pretty close to 50 million dollars.
