Not a surprise VK feels this way, of course. These aren't new quotes, but come from the Barrett post-fight.

David Haye only has two chances against Vitali Klitschko -- Vitali gets injured or Vitali gets 'old' in the ring. Besides this, Haye will be systematically destroyed by the larger and longer Ukranian giant.

Given how good VK looked in destroying Sam Peter after being away from the ring for 4 years, I don't think the latter case is very likely. Klitschko threw around 70 punches/round during the Peter contest, an astonishing number for a heavyweight of any age, particularly one who is 37 years old.

All of this means that if Haye does have to get into the ring with the elder Klitschko, he is likely to need the assistance of Vitali's aging body in order to have any opportunity to win the bout. Fortunately for Haye, such a physical breakdown for Vitali is certainly not out of the question.

I would only give Haye around a 5-10% chance in this fight, but as long as Vitali Klitschko and his relatively fragile body are involved, you can never be certain of the outcome.

Yea...Haye should take on Wlad 1st.

Wlad has an ability to lose rounds in fights, and hes shown the ability to get knocked down and knocked out. Vitali hasn't.

Also, Vitali will be 6-12 months older if he fights haye after wlad does...And it's very possible in that stretch that vitali will be injured and unable to fight haye.

Vitali was able to get off so many punches against Peter, because Peter is slower than him, much shorter, and has very little ability to setup his punches. Haye is much faster than Peter, and I believe he has a longer reach. Vitali will have to be more cautious as Haye, unlike Peter, has the ability to return fire. Haye is young, he's fast, and he hits like a mule. Haye has all the talent needed to beat up on journymen like Monte Barrett. Unfortunately for Haye, Vitali isn't a journayman. Vitali will control the distance and the tempo in this fight. He'll break Haye down and then put his lights out. A freak injury, ala like what happened against Byrd, is the only thing that can save Haye's ass in this fight. Vitali via stoppage, pick a round it doesn't matter.

Vitali is right. I give Haye practically no chance against Vitali and a good punchers chance against Wlad but still don't think he would beat him.

The only way Haye or anyone else in the Heavyweight Division could beat Vitali Klitschko (including his brother) is by a cuts stoppage or an injury during the fight.

I think Haye has a chance against the cautious and sometimes chinny Wlad, but I agree barring a miracle Vitali busts up David Haye and knocks him out in mid to late rounds.

I was saying Vitali would beat Wlad. Not that Wlad would beat Haye.

I don't thuink Vitali's win over Peter was that spectacular. It only served to illustrate how far the heavyweight division has fallen since the retirement of both he and Lennox Lewis.

i think it was pretty damn spectacular considering Wlad who is a very good heavyweight had quite some difficulties against what was considered by most a green version of Peter.
