The difference is that Lennox didn't knock Vitali the **** out. Forman did come from behind to knock Moorer the **** out.
You can see Vitali losing the first 4 rounds? WTF?! When was the last time Vitali lost a round?Or should i say the only time? It was against noone less than Lennox Lewis.Yeah sure, Haye comes in and wins the first 4 rounds because he controls the fight with his jab...and Vitali who threw 70 punches a round against Peter just stands there...Seriously, Haye lost the second round against Barrett yet you see him controlling the fight against Vitali? Come on...you can do better than that! I´m fine with your prediction on the ending though :good
I hope you don't mind me asking but who, in your view, is the better boxer (in their prime) and by what margin? Vitali Lennox Wladimir
No, but he busted his ass up and was winning rds by landing the harder shots, My point was losing to an ATG that is very faded should not be looked upon as an accomplishment. If anything that fight showed just how far below a peak Lewis Vitaly is.
Lennox's prime is hard to determine, he was virtually unstoppable the night he KO'd Razor Ruddock or the night he beat Golota into a shell. Vitali's prime IMO was when he fought Lewis, Johnson, Sanders & Williams. Wladimir is still coming into his prime. Best boxer? Hard to determine. Lennox had the aggression of Vitali with the skills of Wladimir yet he was KO'd by a single punch twice. Wladmir has never been KO'd by a single punch and Vitali has never even been knocked down. ATG Rankings based on achievements? Lennox, Wladimir, Vitali in that order.
For all his greatness Lewis was KO'd twice in his prime. You can try any excuse you want, he didn't train, he was stoned, he took his opponent lightly, etc. but the result is the same. Personally I have Lewis in the top 5 all time Heavyweights, somedays as high as #3. Head to head he may be the best, bar none. Still doesn't change the fact that he was KO'd by a single punch, twice, while at or near his "prime"
Also a good point. Some of Lennox's best wins were against older fighters who were past their primes, Tyson comes to mind. Convenient how these guys remember only the parts that suit their agenda.
i personally think the wlad fight would be a bit like the haye maccarinelli fight, obviously a huge step up in class, but its a case of however lands the big bomb 1st wins as both are chinny. 60/40 haye imo Vitali will be much tougher for haye but id love him to beat both and back up his claims. love him or hate him hes spiced up the hw division and i think hes hilarious
sad part of all this... when Vitali drops Haye to the canvas inside of 5 rounds there will be a slew of "exposed" and "over-rated" threads and once again it will be a disservice to Vitali, Haye and boxing in general.
Yeah Tyson was washed up but Lewis still beat him in a dominant fasion, he didn't struggle and get stopped on cuts like Vitaly did.
