This is one of the best matches that can be made at HW. Big money maker in Europe but they shouldn't make it a PPV in the states like they did with the Valuev fight.
I would say Vitali would have at least another 2 years where he is still as good as he is now, or perhaps another 4 fights depending on if he gets into any wars. After that it will depend on how well he ages. His body has taken a lot of wear and tear through his kickboxing and boxing career which is shown by his numerous injuries. However he has had 4 years without fighting which winds back his clock a little bit. If he fights Haye within the next 2 years/4 fights I think he will be pretty much on top of his game and more than enough to beat Haye into Bolivian.
Valuev and the Klitchko's are light years apart. Haye's biggest problem now is finding another ranked HW that he can beat. Don't hold your breath waiting for a Haye V Klitchko match up. It'll never happen.
Really? I would have said Vitali does anything BUT come forward and bomb people out. I would equate that to a Lewis v Golota, Tua v Ruiz style fight. Vitaly grinds people down into late stoppages. Methodical, solid and consistent fighting, rather than bombing people out. How many top 10 fighters has vitaly beat in the first 6 rounds compared to the last 6 rounds? (Not arguing that I think he'd beat Haye, but I think he'd beat him by accumulation, not a slugfest. That would be Hayes best chance IMO.)
Haye would stop Vitalibum on cuts and knock Wlad clean the **** out, taking their titles and becoming the new WBA/WBC/WBO/IBF/IBO/Ring Heavyweight Champion
Haye would never stay upright that long, taking that many punches from Vitali. Vitali certainly stops Haye.
Vitali knows how to cut off the ring. Haye can run, but he can't hide. Haye lost the fight. Chagaev was the WBA champion and Vlad beat him. Valouev lost the title to Chagaev. Holyfied did so much better against Valouev than Haye, who did nothing but run. I saw that fight live. Jim Watt said it best when he said that Haye couldn't win the fight by running and not throwing punches. Valouev landed many more punches than Haye. Vitali will murder Haye and Haye knows it, that's why Haye backed out for a fight with Vlad, then Vitali to fight Valouev he only had to say away and be standing, Haye had the best judges money can buy.
Vitali wants to get Haye into the ring very badly, but Haye has already refused to fight Vitali and Vlad. Haye will never fight them.
As a Haye fan, I would like to see him fight Wlad first. I simply don't see him beating Vitali. You can't knock him out, so you'd have to outbox him. Haye's actually a very good boxer, but I see Vitali as better. Haye had speed and power in abundance, but Vitali is possibly the most methodical boxer out there at the moment. IF Haye can avoid getting hit he can probably get a points win, but Vitali's accuracy and jab are superb so I don't see that. I do not see an exciting fight, but I do see a Vitali KO.
