I do see him fighting Vitali. The thing I like about Haye is that he goes for a challenge, and loves to prove people wrong. He made a mistake with the Thompson fight in trying to finish him off too early and gassed himself. It was only his 11th pro fight and I think he learned a lesson. I became a fan of him as his career was vastly different to Audley Harrisson's. Haye deliberately overmatched himself early on to prove himself - and won. Many people didn't even think he would beat Enzo Maccarinelli, least of all Frank Warren, who had seriously protected Mac his whole career. It's pretty much because people will write him off against the Klitchko brothers, he'll fight and attempt to prove people wrong. Unfortunately, I just don't see the win
Haye is already putting off his fight with Ruiz because of a hand injury. If he gets by Ruiz, he will fight Valouev again, then? Probably Krasniqi or Dimitrenko or well, who knows? Vlad beat Chagaev, who was the real WBA champion.
He's already confirmed that he'll fight Ruiz next. Just seen a pic of the hand as well. Looks pretty painful. Hopefully that fight will be more exciting.
Hmmm...people criticised Haye for being a loudmouth and for bailing out of the fight with Wladimir...and then he proved them wrong by chosing Valuev instead of Vitali and coming up with even worse trash talk? So far, the discrepancy between his words 18 months ago when he promised he would only deliver exciting fights agains the best and not cherry - pick opponents and the reality of two fights at HW is proving the critics right. Wanting to prove something before a fight and then being in the ring and having the guts to do it are two different matters.
