Vitali Klitschko in today's era, where would he be ranked?

That wouldn't be interesting to me at all. Vitali would beat him to a pulp.

Depends how much injuries affect him, but in the current landscape, either Klitschko would probably beat anyone in the current top 10 right now (with the acknowledgement that a Fury or Usyk fight would be a lot closer were they closer to their primes).

    Tough to say
When he was active I think many felt he was the harder to beat and did beat Sanders who beat Wladimir.
I know Wladimir beat Byrd but I'm not reading too much in Vitali suffering an injury loss when ahead and when the injury wasn't caused by taking shots
To be fair to Vitali, he didn't show any real weaknesses
I think he would be somewhere near the top and wouldn't argue If anyone felt he would be #1
Still think I would favour Usyk but wouldn't bet on it

My top 5 HWs now are Usyk, Fury, Zhang, Dubois, Bakole.. I'd favour him over all except Usyk. Fury at his best (i dont think he is anymore) would be 50/50 but this version would probably lose to Vitali.

He loses to Usyk see the Byrd fight he was frustrated missed a ton of punches and that was against an opponent on a week's notice plus Usyk is bigger than Byrd.

Against everyone else he should be favoured but then again some of the opponents in this era would be the best wins on Vitali's resume. So it's quite a leap to beating the likes of a 38 year old inactive out of shape Sanders, to beating some of the dangerous active Heavyweights now.

Usyk is too skilled for him.

Genuinely surprised there's people here who put Vitali above Usyk.

I know the hype when Vitali was active was out of control. And I mean out of control. The Golvokin/Canelo fan rivalry pales on comparison to the vitriol of the Lewis/Vitali fan rivalry. I wonder if the famous TKO6 thread is still knocking about actually.

But over the last ten years people seem to have been better able to rationalise Vitali and his greatness. So it surprises me seeing people picking him over Usyk. For me that's a no brainer.

He never reached his prime because of injuries and with his brother holding belts his path was blocked.
So if you can agree that vitalli didn’t ever reach his prime, then do you agree that he was at his best when he faced Lewis?
If you agree with that then I can’t see any argument that he wouldn’t destroy anyone in this current era.
I think he was the best of the brothers but it didn’t play out well for him.
The most unfortunate heavyweight in my lifetime.
It’s also worth noting that my argument can be completely shot down by his resume, but Iam one of those who believes in what he sees and says what he sees.

question for the op when was his prime?

With these young killers today like Charr and Chisora, it's a better breed with different training and nutrition science. I don't think he does well.
