40 wins 38 by KO. 8 straight DOMINANT title defenses.

Who has come close to beating him? Nobody.

Only Muhammad Ali is above him historically.

I have him at #4 on my ATG list. With Lennox at #1.

Vitali may be the greatest. He would beat Ali, anyone, he could also beat Lewis. Lewis could beat Vitali too. Vitali is at the top of the food chain , no doubt about it. He is in total control of every single fight, except for Lewis fight and he was winning that at stoppage. his skills have gotten much better and refined since that fight too. Vitali and Lewis are the two best ever. Wladimir right there too.

If Ali were 3 inches and 30 pounds bigger, he'd be too but he's too small for these monsters. Simply too small. Holmes too small too.

    You're ranking him too low.

    WHAT?

    There is an opinion.
    And then there is madness..

Vitali is JUST in the top 20 at best.

Can someone tell me who his best opponent is?
A spent Lewis. And he still lost.
A PRIME Arreola. Oh yes. That makes him an ATG.

A lack of opposition is not Vitali's fault at all. The problem is to become an ATG you need good opposition and one or two really memorable fights against top, top level opposition. Vitali just has not beat anyone good, and for me, will only be remembed for ALMOST beating Lewis. That's not how an ATG should be remembed.

Vitali is a good fighter in a truly **** division, and even against poor opposition he still fights like every opponent has got a ****ing knife or something.

ANYWAY despite all this Vitali is a good fighter who could give ANY fighter problems, even if they are only size related.
