C'mon man, you have to factor in quality of competition and level of overall dominance before you make statements like that. Besides his KO percentage, what makes him a top 10 ATG? Do you seriously think thathe ranks ahead of Foreman, Joe Louis and Holmes simply because of his KO percentage? I can see someone possibly ranking him ahead of Frazier, Tyson, Maciano, Dempsey, Patterson and Bowe using your criteria but I'm still not buying it... KO percentage gets him in the top 50 but I think he really rates well in head to head matchups rather than ATG lists...:think

Herbie Hide and J.C. Gomez were champions. Tyson was his WBO mandatory for a while and later lost an opportunity to fight Vitaly when he blew it against Danny Williams. It is not like there were a dearth of ex-alphabet champs for Vitaly to cut his teeth against. In short: Tyson's opposition was no better. I will not even go into Tyson's myriad of dissapointments.

 

I agree Vitali is an excellent boxer a top 2 for sure. He's very exciting in the ring, only stupid Klitschko haters say otherwise. Americans are mad that Vitali just needs one or two more good wins to surpass Ali as the greatest heavyweight ever.
