It's a fact that Vitali had a legit injury, he sent us a picture, the surgery, damn, it was bad. Vitali would have knocked Byrd out in a rematch. It had nothing to do with what Byrd did, hell, Byrd could not hurt Vitali in any way. he was leading on points easily. He had to quit to save his career. Vitali was leading on points vs. Lewis, he staggered Lewis, broke his nose badly. Vitali does not run out of gas, not even with only 2 weeks notice..................if allowed, Vitali would have knocked Lewis out in the very next round. Max Kellerman hated the Klitschkos and all Eastern European fighters at that time, even thought they were German Nazis! When they were from Ukraine, Ukrainians hate Nazis...............I told him that live on the air years ago when he was on ESPN2..............If Vitali was Lewis' easiest fight, then why did Lewis refuse a rematch for any amount of money? Vitali said that he would come out of retirement to fight Lewis and only Lewis. Vitali is obviously extremely underrated. Vitali was out boxing Byrd with one arm...................six time world kickboxing champion, fantastic chin, fantastic mind..................a good man and a true warrior always. He was leading on the cards against Byrd, Byrd said that Vitali was more difficult to fight than Vlad..................I wish they would have rematched, Byrd would have been knocked out worst than he was by Vlad...................Why so much hate for Vitali and Vlad? Eastern European fighters they are.................look at all the hate for Golovkin, Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, Gassiev, Usyk, Sirenko, Lomachenko, hell, almost everyone was picking Rigo to knock him out! YouTube was terrible! Angel Garcia gave Lomachenko no chance, Danny Garcia chose Rigo, even Roberto Duran, then after Lomachenko beat Rigo, the haters said that Rigo was too small, old, etc. The hate will continue though................I watched Kovalev beat SOB Ward, in the rematch I saw SOB punch Kovalev in the testicles three times! The video does not lie.................the still pictures do not lie.................Kovalev's belt was on the navel, belly button, the belt was thick, under the belt was a letter, SOB landed on the letter................Max interviewed Ward, and asked if those were borderline low blows, or were they low low blows! Paulie said the fight should never have been stopped, Tony Weeks should have given Kovalev 5 minutes to rest from the low blows, but instead called it a TKO! So.............I guess Golota knocked Bowe out two times, that call must be changed if low blows are legal in boxing! Then Golota was cheated! Byrd is Bob Bennett's favorite judge and she is now judging fights again! 10 -2 El Pollo! Teddy Atlas was correct and he was right about Horn losing to Pac................Horn can't fight, he headbutts, holds, wrestles, elbows, whatever...................Pac was badly cheated! Back to Vitali, not only is Vitali one of my favorite heavyweights of all time, he is also a fantastic mayor, he's rebuilding Kiev, the 8th largest city in Europe! Vitali works for the people, he is honest person, great warrior and his life is in danger..................great family man, but he DOES NOT BEAT UP WOMEN, TAKE DRUGS, TRASH TALK, HAS NOT BEEN IN PRISON! Played chess with Kasparov..................remember, Lewis had a very badly broken nose, how did that happen? I guess he fell down on perhaps none of the ring girls did it? Max Kellerman was sitting right behind Lewis' corner, Max said that he had never seen Lewis flop down on the stool like that, yes, Lewis was finished. Lewis' best Punch could not hurt Vitali, perhaps they should have stopped the fight after Vitali broke his nose? I have seen fights stopped on a badly broken nose...................hell, I saw Holyfield's last fight at "The Greenbrier" in White Sulphur Springs W. Va.......................the fight was stopped on a little cut, yes, Holyfield was finished, he just did not have it anymore, if the fight had not been stopped, Holyfield would have been knocked out. Sherman "The Tank" Williams! The cut was an excuse and everyone knew it..................Lewis as there, Larry Holmes was there, Tyson as supposed to have been there, but did not show up, many others........................sad.........................the point is that Vitali could have fought on, he just needed one more round, Lewis was finished and he knew it, so did many others..................why no rematch? Vitali ended Lewis' career................

Man, everytime I respond to you I regret it. Your extreme position on the wrong side of the IQ line makes it so. Neverthless, I'm not going to try rehash it for somebody with the intelligence of a rock. I will merely take a bit of your own argument and cave you in with it:

"severity is based on parameters related to it."

Since you never examined the injury to Vitali's rotator cuff, nor have any idea of its severity, you are revealing yourself to be an utter ponce by pronouncing opinions on it.

Dude, you're new around here, so you don't know, but the mods take a dim view of circumventing the cuss filter. I had my ass banned a few times for it. Just saying. I agree with your post, though.

    The guy quit against Byrd.

All he had to do was walk around the ring for another 3 rounds, not even throw a punch, and he would've won.

If Vitali hadn't been forced to retire for 4 years Byrd would have been on his to do list but by 08 Byrd was washed up. Vitali would have got no credit for knocking him out.

Sometimes I wonder if fighters oughtn't drag the mouldering cadavers of the fighters that once somehow beat them, out of the graveyard and give them a righteous stonking just to set the record straight. I mean there will be dumbos around arguing till kingdom come that Byrd "had Vitali's number" or somesuch twaddle even when it is perfectly obvious Vits would have blasted him. Wlad should have fought Old Man Holyfield too, instead of avoiding putting him in hospital out of respect. I've actually run across a couple of fools that argued Wlad dodged the mummified remains of Holyfield :duh:duh

I know. If old Holyfield hadn't lost to both Byrd and Ibragimov he would have got a WK fight.

this nonsense from u...again - why do you continue to pretend that the medical profession doesnt know the range of pain felt from a torn rotator cuff?

why is it you know more than them? let me know.
