I blaim his opponents. Best fights were Sanders and Lewis those guys were not afraid to go through Vitali's shots and fire back. nobody else has been courageous enough to do that since

feather fisted?? i respectfully disagree sir. arm puncher yes but so was george foreman (ie: the moorer fight),did just fine for him.

but yes, he looks goofy and awkward as **** sometimes. i think vitali CAN be exciting when he has an opponent that does more than be one of the few fighters to last the distance with him. johnson obviously only wanted to hear the final bell

Feather fisted is ridiculous, aye, I agree. But he's made out to be some demonic punching titan. He threw 108 punches in one round against Johnson and never even floored him.
He doesn't plant when he throws any more. He was a decent puncher a few years ago.

Foreman in his prime didn't fire the arm punches he did later. I think VK can be exciting too but you just never know how a fight is going to turn out when the two styles and bodies meet.

this is true. he's content with, like you said, arm punching, controlling the distance and landing thudding but not devasting punches. if he put in leverage, pure accuracy and beef behind his punches mother****ers would be put to sleep. he's ok dominating the guys without going for the kiss

The thing is with vitali...is you can tell he has a real mean streak in him in the ring....something his brother lacks...I do think if vitali had much better competition, he is not a man that would turn down a war.....his brother could never win a war against a ATG or a really elite HW imho...wlad just doesnt have a killer instinct like vitali...

Back in the day he was a lot different, Wlad. Now he's a bit gun-shy. And I don't blame him. Plus, it seems to have motivated him to become a far better fighter, the fear of getting into one of those scraps and being laid out.

Sometimes though good competition brings it out in you...ali was a boxer, but frazier brought out ali's warrior side....

Even someone as limited as frazier, could force wlad into brawling, and wlad would get laid out imo....

Mayweather is another example of a fighter that if he was absolutely forced to brawl he could I think....i really have my doubts wlad could do it against an elite guy without losing it or getting brutally KTFO...

Vitali's lack of competion really doesnt do him justice...

No, I agree with you that Wlad might have a very tough time. But with his power, someone brawls with him, anybody could get knocked out pretty quickly in that situation. That's the funny thing about less than stellar jaws coupled with enormous power.
