This fight could turn out to be a sad impotent circle jerk if all goes wrong, the way only a fight like this can truly go wrong.
Briggs is even more faded and he's not as good as Vitali was, so it evens out. Oh, and Vitali has a better chin than Briggs no matter how faded he is, so Briggs has essentially no chance.
Vitali is on the slide it's plain for all to see but it'll take more than a guy who'll gas after 4 rounds to beat him.
Found it funny when people including myself pointed this out after the Johnson fight, you were either a Haye nuthugger or a pure hater in some guys eyes,a few fans of Vitali just wouldnt hear of it and those will probably be the the first to pipe up with excuses if/when he does lose.
For one thing, Vitali Klitschko was never known for his fast "reflexes" even when in the peak of his prime, so the fact that he's slown a tad, doesn't take much away from his initial game. I agree that he's past it, and probably in the final days of his career, but let's face it, what does that say about Shannon Briggs who is even further down the road? Klit still has his chin, size advantage and boxing ability. The only thing that Briggs still has is a big punch, and frankly I haven't seen him test it against a truly durable opponent in a long time.... Vitali may have looked like **** against Sosnowski and Johnson, but if we're honest, BOTH of those guys posed a better challenge than Briggs does at this stage.
There are always people picking a Klitschko to lose and providing reasons. Over the last few years, they've ALL been wrong. and will be again.
